I have eaten at several Pizza places in Bangkok and have been totally disapointed. Even went with some other expats and was shocked to hear them claim how good the pizza was.
I am looking for deep dish Chicago style pizza.
Any suggestions?

Bangkok Pizza Co. is one of the best I've had and they do deliver. We tried calling them a couple weeks ago, though, and no answer.
Not sure about Chicago deep dish. That sounds yummy and got me craving it.
Bangkok Pizza Co.
^ There are a few bkk pizza threads on western foods at tv. Suggest you look there, but I can't remember deep dish. Let us know if you find it.
I could check there, but I banned myself!!!!![]()
Can't recommend as I haven't tried but who knows...
Lemoncello (spelling?) on Suk Soi 11 has deep dish pizza.
La Piola between Suk Soi 11 and 13. This is an odd place as they have no menu so they serve what the owner fixes as a set for the day. I know once in a while they have deep dish pizza on the daily menu.
I too have yet to find a good pizza in Thailand. I grew up in New Jersey where half of my neighbors had names ending in vowels. (Italians)
Udon Thani had a decent pizza place called Piccola Roma but it closed down. There's a huge pizza oven in the first floor of the Charoensri Grand Hotel, but the pizza is average at best. I ordered a calzone once and they merely flipped a medium pepperoni/cheese in half. Geez. The rest of the pizza here is crap. I'd like to find a good deep dish in Issan or BKK too.
I like the Pizza Company, but I'm a Limey.![]()
The best (semi) deep dish pizza I have had recently is was at Riggers place. Someone makes it out there is the jungle, and Rig ordered a couple of deliveries. Surprisingly good it were too although after about 10 bottles of Leo maybe my judgement was a bit off.
A touch too salty for me, but over the last few years I have been on a low salt kick and most food I don't prepare myself comes out salty.
Don't cut back too much. Here in our tropical (hotter than hell) paradise, too little salt can lead to serious problems.Originally Posted by peterpan
Bangkok Pizza Co. is not that nice at all, Ronnie's New York Pizza on soi nana is well worth a try.
^ New York?
^ I plan on trying it before the end of the year. I missed that one. When I saw Bangkok Pizza, I quit reading!!!!
A coupla weeks ago, I got to bitching about meatloaf, pizza, lasagna, casserole, turkey, etc. (I'm a fussy cnut, but hell, we've been here 6 months now)
We have a decent sized oven and I put the heat on my cook/wife (blessed is she!) as to why I've had little more than kai-yang and tom yam since our move in.
Off to Tesco Friday and she snags a Pizza cookbook. (the woman is ambitious)
As I'm type this rubbish, I'm munching a delicious pizza imposter on french bread with tomato sauce and mushrooms with pepperoni and delicious red pepper and oregeno sprinkles.
I knew I loved her for some reason...
She promises a real homemade pizza crust this weekend. (Thanks PP for the guilt trip!) hers not mine.
Let us know how it is, what it is comparable to, like - Chicago deep dish, I bet not, or pizza company (I hope not) and I doubt that it will be NY Pizza.
If you have an oven, the french bread pizza is easy and will be better than what you can buy outside, usually, around here. It will cost a little bit less too. Mozzerella $$$$$!
I just tried making my own from scratch. 'Bout as close as you come to Chicago deep dish. NY Italian genuine, but what a mess making it here. No space to work the dough right after it raised and it didn't rise well so I rushed it a bit. The dough was alright but not primo.
I get the crust nice and crispy and tend to overload the works and cheese. Good for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a few days.
It's not the States so try not to be too picky, try this place out. Not bad pizza. And, there is a place you can get a great foot massage at acroos the street. It can make for a start of a good day!
