    Welcome back, Pi...

Not too far - you might try Staffords in Prasat, Surin - short drive from Mueang Buriram.
Kind of a quasi-distributor of Farang foods and other specialties.
This time of year they might be providing these Farang things.

Worth it to give them a ring first.

No, Gary at Staffords is the one who told me about the quarantine on imported turkeys this year. No turkey in Thailand unless you smuggle one in in your underwear.

Nonetheless, might be worth the trip to pick up a few kilos of the lovely variety of sausages [or use to procure]....or in-house pies.

^ Have you tried the pies from the Corner Cafe in Prakhon Chai? They do some lovely curries amongst other stuff.

No, I've never stopped in Prakhon Chai, just driven through. Is it on 24?
I live in Sangkha but we have a shop in Prasat so I get there 3 or 4 times a week that's why I'm familiar with Staffords.

I can recommend a visit to Corner Cafe if your ever passing through. Food is far better than Staffords IMO. I used to go to Staffords but I thought him to be running the place down over the years.

Corner Cafe Pragmatic? do you mean the one near the Bus Station ? yeah good grub all right, and IMHO not OTT on price , they appear to do a roaring trade on Fridays when the night market is on which is the only time I ever go if Jan decides to do a bit of shopping there ,otherwise I'm a seven nights a week guy in nearby Ban kruat

Sorry mate I have no idea where the bus station is. Traveling from Nang Rong on the 24 you turn left at the traffic lights. About 300m on the left after the turn is the place. I believe it's owned by a Mexican.

Yeah Thats the one, If you turned left at the Cafe the Bus station is about another 150 yards on the left , almost opposite in the huge Friday night market

I had thought that Ray moved the whole operation into Surin City just recently from that almost isolated Prakhon Chai crossing locale....

Perhaps, I'm thinking of something else - been a while since I resided down that way.

^There is a Corner Cafe in Surin. I would check on Surin Farang Forum but as of today I have been banned.

    Heh...
From what I remember, it wouldn't take much to be banned from that highly sensitive forum. Wankers.

A fart in their direction or something akin.

Most people would take the 'Err...my friend is interested' approach when talking about shagging hookers or something.

Jeff uses it to talk about giblets and gravy.

TM, As far as I am aware, Ray ,who is a good friend of mine is no longer in the catering business , and sold out to a Mexican American called Steve quite some time ago ,who"s food in my humble opinion is as good as any and better than most And BTW I think I'm getting a little closer now in locating a Turkey (thanks to members inputs)
