The easy way to take a macroshot of a fly. Freeze it and while it thaws you make your shots. I have not tried it but I have heard it does not even harm the fly. And easy is overstated. It is still tricky to make a shot that good.

My mother is a amateur photographer and I remember people in her regional club used to do that with moths, which she didn't like.
