This is the moment a daredevil risks his life by climbing a huge 84ft-high gas tower above a city centre. Thrillseeker James Kingston, 23, stands on a 1ft-wide rim on the top of the 112-year-old gas works - just yards from a Premier League football ground. He enraged the authorities by even completing two full laps of the red metal structure to take in a 360-degree aerial view of Southampton, Hants. Police and safety experts slammed Mr Kingston after he posted a picture of himself on top of the Northam Gas Works. The gas works is protected by an 8ft-high barbed wire fence and has clear signs warning people to stay out.
