Cheating your young son out of doing a science project, then feeling proud when you beat a class of 8 year old children, takes a certain type of 'father'.

Still... it's not as if Chitty could beat Grade 2 students at much else, I suppose.

Well, yes, they had modifications throughout their life as do most military aircraft. The model is in 617 Sqn colours, which means it is towards the end of its ~20 year life. The RWR mod was carried out in the mid 70's (The square top fin) . Prior to the mod, the aircraft was on 35Sqn, and the top photo was taken around 1975 and after the upgrade the aircraft moved to 617 Sqn with the bottom photo taken in 1979.

I suppose I should add a moan for the thread

It can be annoying organizing meeting people for farewell drinks when certain groups don't get along with each other. Quite childish really, but it is what it is
Dont invite cybil and youll be fine.

Do you really have nothing better to do?

Turning your and Cyrilles Toxicity and negativity into a positive.

We spent five weeks of quality time together, an hour a day layering up and constructing the iconic Great British Avro Vulcan with a fair bit of history coldwar/Falklands history lessons thrown in.
It was near perfect when finished.
The model was put on display in the school reception and my son gave a talk on the history and heritage of the Vulcan to the other kids at assembly time.
Head, teachers, pupils and other parents all made positives comments and I suspect a couple were even jealous.

You know the type, the parents at the school gates at pick up time that stand on their own at home time coz no one wants to talk to them. But they'll snipe amongst themselves and talk behind peeps backs and never to their faces.

Not dissimilar to Lulu and Cryall...

Moan? Back in cold, windy and rainy NZ. The wind was so strong Saturday night that the previous flight still hadn't unloaded the baggage as the wind was too strong. Luckily our flight parked at an different angle or something as we go ours.

At the moment all flights from KL, Singapore, Bangkok and HK are over 90% filled with transit passengers from India due to NZ's idiotic work visa policy of anyone with a job offer of $27.76 an hour can bring their partner who will get an automatic work visa . . . and bring all their children to be educated here for free. Not a bad deal for them. Sucks for NZ in many ways

And, err, does that offer also include, perhaps, Italians?

    My first thought also.

I should imagine the jobs available are back breaking fruit picking work.

The kid was good at picking blackberries a few summers ago, so it could be a goer.

    Bladdy leaking aircon.

Lost its coolness a few weeks ago. 2 somchais came round and fixed a leak near the compressor.

2 weeks later and it's now just started dripping down onto where me arm/head usually is on the sofa.

The airfilters should be clean. I cleaned them 2 months or so ago.

Try to vacuum out the drainage pipe outside, as could be blocked?
