Surprised that they didn't offer to make alternative flight arrangements amongst one of their brethren Alliance airlines during their troubled times - as they receive financial compensation when code sharing flights.

A caveat: The fucking respective airline corporations are not your friends.

On four lane roads like Rama II and on expressways where most traffic is travelling at 100 KPH+, why does the average moronic motorist here insist on merging onto the road at 60kph? Why can't they simply use the loud pedal that is under their right foot?
A huge cause of traffic congestion.

... and they rarely look both ways which, according to baldrick, means they're actually aware you may or may not be there.

They provided alternative flight arrangements such as: "Your flight tomorrow afternoon has been cancelled, alternative flight with blah blah in 2 hours time"...Thank-you Lufthansa but I have a full day tomorrow here and then fly for an early morning meeting the next day and then back for an early start the next...

I got to the meeting but it meant a 20hr day followed by a 16hr day...and then I was stuck and unable to end the week on a high note....they suck and they are off my list of airlines...period!

As far as I am concerned they have just done a "Volkswagon"...

^ Very lucky with that second part. Several colleagues went the Paris route on Thursday night...I was hoping for a Paris week-end, heading there on the Friday. Someone changed plans and I ended up on SIA...nice flight BTW. Mind you, even if I was in Paris, I would have been nowhere near the devastation...preferring a very good (if small) Laos/Thai restaurant in the SE 13 Arr...

You will have to wait until Mid-December or even January for more butterfly pics depending on internet access when I am back in Thailand...and I will have a few plants for you as well.

Now back to being hacked off...

I'm the first to admit that I need to get out of the village a little more. Anyways, I'm at immigration today and in comes this elderly farang. He's wearing a white shirt and loose fitting white cotton trousers. He has long grey hair tied up in a pony tail. Now I fooking hate to see men with fooking pony tails. Next I notice that his fingernails were painted pink. What the officers at the office thought I don't know but I thought 'what a fooking twat'. So off this dude goes only to be replaced by another guy with dark hair and a fooking pony tail.

I couldn't wait to get out of immigration. Me and the missus stopped off for a meal on the way home. Low and behold there's a farang in the restaurant with long grey hair and a pony tail. Fook me I don't recall seeing one in 10 years and then today within 1 hour I'd bumped into 3.

So is it now the fashion for farangs 60ish to have pony tails? If so I'll stay in the village more.

Francis "Mick" Rossi got rid of his ponytail long ago. BTW he is from the Rossi Ice Cream dynasty I believe.

It was the douche-bag fashion when they were 30ish in the 80s. (Can you believe it was that long ago?) So for them it is just that they didn't evolve with the times.
Like you used to see old hippies from the sixties around. Geriatrics with long grey hair and beards wearing tie dies and beads thinking they were still cool man.

You don't see old hippies from the sixties around any more? And since they weren't cool, then the new generation of hippies and hippy chicks aren't cool either? If that's the case then, IMNSHFO, I never saw a hippie hater who was cool either.

Only one original generation of Hippies.
The others are false fashionable wannabes.

Don't forget the pink nail varnish. It's a must have accessory.
