One hour isn't long. Even somewhere small like Stansted, by the time you have walked to the airport building and joined your loved ones in the check-in queue you probably have to leave them before they get their boarding passes and sprint back to the car to get out inside the hour. Or stay with them to say goodbye and pay a penalty for the overstay.

It's £5 for drop off at Bristol Airport, and that's for literally a drop off with no parking and no leaving the car.

If you've gone over 10 minutes when you exit through the barrier they charge you more.
