I went to Tesco. I could stop there, that is a moan already.
I wanted some liquid hand soap and some liquid laundry detergent, amongst other stuff. Now I try to do my bit for the environment so obviously I chose the refill packs in bags because I already have the plastic dispenser bottles and I can refill them and feel good about myself.
Hang on! While my mental arithmetic isn't as good as it used to be things didn't look right. I got the trusty calculator fired up on the phone and sure enough, in both cases it was cheaper per cl to buy the original plastic bottles than to buy the refill bags.
So Tesco will sell me the 'environmentally friendly' option on which they already enjoy a greater profit margin at a higher price for an even greater profit margin and snigger at me for being an idiot consumer, happy to increase their profit whilst they pose as offering the green option. Bunch of cvnts.
I bought the cheaper plastic dispenser bottles. They will get recycled.
In case you buy Saeng Som, the 1 litre bottle is more expensive per cl than the 75cl bottle. Obviously.
