You have a very good eye for taking pics Bus....I think you may have been a devinci or maybe van gough in a previous life.
^ hehe, thanks a lot guys.
Whereas Knobsy was a warhole...or is it warpole...or maybe Larry Flint.
ooops...
nice work again bustak
the "bird in flight" did you just PS to B&W?
We just got given a 50mm for our 400d so really looking forward to having a play![]()
^ thanks a lot.
The 400d is a nice camera, it's the BIG brother to the one I shoot w/ now. Which 50mm do you have for it?
I convert it to B&W in CS3, along w/ sharpening & adjusting the levels.
the gf, her mother & myself went out to see a couple of temples outside of Chiang Mai, in a town called Lampuhn.
I must admit, Bobcock is the temple photographer. My pictures of the actual temple aren't that exciting.
On the way to the Lampuhn Blue bus, some man warned us of a window cleaner above us. I like to think he was alerting me of a good photo:
1st we grabbed a blue bus from Chiang Mai to Lampuhn, it cost 60b for 3 people:
then we arrived at Wat Phra That Haripunchai. It was such a beautiful/old temple. We were 1st greeted by this woman asking for money:
later on we saw her sleeping:
she was pretty well dressed and groomed for a homeless person, not sure what the story was.
Some pictures around the temple:
after we left, we grab a bite to eat at a really good noodle shop:
the gf & her mother took a rickshaw to a smaller temple, this was their driver:
I took a motorcycle taxi:
Took some Lens Baby pictures at the temple:
after that temple we took a rickshaw to the bus stop to go back to Chiang Mai:
^ I really like these 2. These cats work their asses off, it was hot yesterday.
After we got back into town, we got a bite to eat and downed a cold Shasta:
when I went to pick-up my motorbike at my gf's mother's house, her dog was sitting next to the fence of his gf's house waiting patiently:

The gods told me to relax
They said I'm gonna be fixed up right"
Monster Magnet
this is an old picture I stumbled upon it on my desktop:
found this poor fellow along the side of the road, near Maejo University.
You take bloody good pictures mate. Travel mags pay good money for pics of this quality I hope you know.
Have you submitted any to the bigger mags and websites?
^ thanks Dug, I appreciate it.
been taking a lot of pictures w/ the B&W in camera, w/ the contrast turned way up.
I'm liking the results, reminds me of the Lucky B&W film I use to shoot w/.
got some good color portraits of my friend Tome Kon:

I shoot most of my photos w/ the B&W setting in the camera. I turn the sharpening up, along w/ the contrast & get these beauties:
had lunch w/ a friend yesterday & she asked if I wanted to try some Chinese whiskey & I said "hell yeah," well after a bottle of this I had to have my gf drive me home!
I snapped this flattering picture of myself:
I did manage to snap this one from a speeding motorbike (while on Chinese Whiskey):
the apeture was at f/11 w/ a 1/640 sec. shutter speed.
I forgot one:

Wonderful shots How much would such aset up cost here in LOS more than the taxsin bounty or less than soi dog multi-entry bar fine
I'm not a big Songkram guy (I'm leaving for KL, Malaysia tomorrow).
So here are a few taken yesterday & today:
this one was taken w/ a disposable 35mm camera:
Have a happy & safe Songkran everyone!
peace,
Ken
I'm not honking my own horn, but damn, this is a really beautiful picture:
it has nothing to do w/ my talent, photoshop, or a good camera.
I just pointed a cheap 35mm throw-away at a group of people dancing in a man made mist, w/ sunlight behind them & I achieved this.
There is so much beauty in the world, anyone who's bored or jaded needs to open their eyes. This picture reminds me of that.
oops, I forgot a few. Later this evening I went to the store & snapped a few.
For Songkran I gave the guard of my village a bottle of LEO:

Number 2, great use of fill in flash, just perfect.
Those are some awesome black and white shots. Love the ones of the guy on the bike pulling you around. Thanks for sharing
Today my gf & I went w/ her friend to visit her family in Mae Tang (60 minutes outside of CM). I would like to visit there again & have a motorbike to properly see the town, from what I saw it's beautiful.
a cute little baby, feet and my camera strap:
we visited a waterfall & these "gentlemen" disrobbed in full view of of everyone, including a family:
people were pretty shocked, myself included.
visited a few temples (of course)
