Ignoring certain individuals' schedules, there are two options available:-

Saturday 21st October or Saturday 28th October.

Prefereable somewhere near a Skytrain or Underground station. Last year was at the Bull's Head, but after the Chiang Mai event we're going to be pushed to find somewhere better than the Chiang Mai Saloon in Bangkok.
If it's in Bangkok, I think I can come.

Unfortunately I will not make it there. I think I cannot visit Thailand this year.

It's the same people who used to have the Beer Garten opposite Soi Cowboy. I'll check it out at the weekend and see how busy it gets on Saturday evenings. It's also right near Nana BTS, so easy to get to.
i know it - i dont rate it anymore - the outdoor bit is quite small and gets quite crowded.

Hmmm, that's what I feared. any other choices? I'll check out the Soi 8 one, too.

Hillbilly - The main night is really for posters only, but seeing as a few will be coming in from all over, a family get together on the sunday would be very well recieved and attended I think.

CMN - I think the date will be the 21st due to the holiday on the Monday, but I will go with whatever the votes say on the 1st of July. Is that OK?

Now lolitas would be interesting as a meeting place. You can sit, have your beer and a chat, and if someone is bored, he can go upstair for a quickie and come back relaxed

Sin Sukhumvit Soi 4 has a large roof terrace.

I know that they arranged special drink prices for a certain other Forum's P*ss Up.

I think they threw in a buffet too.

Ahh yes, but one of the owners is a complete kunt, so we shall pass on that one. Thanks for the suggestion though.

actually another possibility is the White House on soi 8 or soi 10 i think.
have an outdoor and indoor area - pool tables TV's - reasonablly roomy - food fair price and OK - they dont really get much business due to location - so we could almost have the run of the place.

    Family friendly also !

the owners name is Kieth - not a bad bloke

Seriously though, it's quite a way from the Skytrain down Soi 36, plus it will probably be full of baby eaters, so I'm not sure the more civilised TDers would like that too much.

I'm guessing wildly that he's referring to our brothers from over the pond.

    Good point.

Actually, I'm not sure that he will be allowed out to play that night. He has already been out twice this year.

Smeg, DJPat and myself are organising a 'TeakDoor' pariah get-together at the same time.

    We'll prolly go to Q-bar.

Sounds like my kind of night. Should we bring cash with us ? or expect to find sponsors to pay for our drinks ?

OK. We just checked out The White House and tried to check out the Beer Garden but either we didn't walk far enough or it is now a pizza place.

The White house was quite nice, but we won't be going there for the following reasons.

    1. Not laid out in a way to accommodate 20-odd people.
    2. Music was too loud.
    3. Still a semi knocking shop.
    4. Only rated a 4.5 on the burger index.

I will try to check out the German Beer Haus on Soi 11 tomorrow.

It's more than a year ago I went to the beer garden, may well have changed by now, just 100yards on from the "lolitas" soi, on the right.
