I agree.

With the investment you've made already go bespoke. There is even an argument to be made for a bespoke kitchen built and fitted in a way you could easily remove and take with you should you decide to move again - if you get one built with high quality wood, it'll withstand time and you like its design of fab then why not build in the ability to take it away - just a thought.

If I go with the all-wood option, then it will be purpose-built for the space rather than 'off the peg', so to speak...

If I have to pay that sort of money then I want what I want...

Has anyone ever tried to do an epoxy stone effect worktop?

No...not for the kitchen as epoxy is not heat resistant... i was thinking for some of the bathroom shelving.

watched a few YouTube videos, esp the ones making it look like marble and black granite - very good stuff
