Thinking about it! appliances like ovens come with molded plugs so it is obviously the accepted way of doing it, though I do think a dedicated switch as above is better.

Here in the states appliances that are free standing are installed with a plug, if mounted in or on something securely then it is hard wired. If you wanted to install a switch in addition to the breaker the switch would need to be able to handle the amperage. All appliances I have seen here have on/off switches installed in them. The breaker would be used to cut power to the unit for service or emergency, but every country may be different and if there isn't a code to follow I guess you can do how you like.

You can see where they are prepping up the beams above for the same treatment.
He asked us where the fans and lights were going so I sent him another sketch to confirm.
There are also external electrical sockets to consider, especially as the far wall is currently missing as it is par of zone 3 which we are not building right now

The fact is...it IS small.
This store was not on the plans and was suggested by K.Pot.
its not a walk in cupboard (unless you are 2' 6'')
The height was determined by the staircase which you can just see on the left side as you look in.
I see it for storing the suitcases, or maybe canned food. lol maybe it could become the 'Panic Room' if we ever get turned over.
I would certainly panic if I had to squeeze in there with 3 hysterical females....

On present performance, K.Pot is about 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
I am almost hoping he slows up a bit 'cos I cannot get back there til September, what with my emergency leave, and booked holiday arrangements in that month.
Window frame detail
Here's a quick look at the frame in close up...

you can see the seat shape on both sides of the frame - this is to accommodate the window on the inside and the shutter on the outside.
Shutter will open out 180 degrees to sit flush against the wall. when closed in will follow the face of the wall, without protrusion.
The actual glazed window will be closed a lot of the time , but if needed can be opened to allow free air movement
U have a bang up project going there. High quality build. Ur builder may be completed by the time u get back!
