Also met the electricians on site. we got the location for the consumer unit (distribution box) sorted out, and they began chasing out a route under the kitchen floor for the incomer.
Also discussed fan locations, and down-lighter locations and then Mr.Electrician raised up the AC topic.
So we then re-walked the building, deciding on the AC locations, and where the Inverter boxes would go. its much easier dealing with the person on site who might actually do the work, rather than a box-shiftier in BKK who never did a days work getting his hands dirty in his entire life. Quote to follow but sure to be less than Modern Air
Next came CCTV. what we wanted, how many, where, etc. I wanted a system that held a months recording before being over-written, yes...he could do that. could I have a camera feed into the office. yes i could. Cameras remotely accessed over the net onto , say a mobile phone? yes can do. and speakers to 'chat' with anone thinking of making an impromptu entrance? sure no problem. Quote to follow
Finally, the alarm system. i outlined my plans / requirements (not going to reveal that here, of course!!) and apart from the crocodile, everything was do'able. Again, quote to follow.
Was a bit sad about my crocodile idea. burglars would only come in once (mainly cos they would probably get eaten or at least lose a limb or two). i thought, y'know... clean n tidy. i might speak to some of those shows up near Chiang Mai - someone must have a spare crocodile just itching to get its teeth into a new vocation.....
