A remix of the late Whitney Houston's " I want to dance with somebody ".....The song returned to the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in February 2012 following Houston's death.

Don Henley, Randy Meisner and Glenn Frey wrote this song and Meisner sang lead.... love the flow of this song. The Eagles had a ton of big hits, but I think this was one of the more underrated ones.......Randy Meisner leaving was devastating.

This song is poetry set to music. There's not a wasted word in this song. Each one has a purpose. Every line packs a punch. It tells a complete story, with very few words.
Henley and Frey composed this song in a restaurant on a napkin after seeing many older men with beautiful young women.....:)

What do you know about Thai music? What is your favorite Thai band or artist, from any time?
I know a little. Most Thai music is not to my taste. There are several important styles that I identified - for instance the "Villager Style" the (possibly) crude and folksy music from the north (with the characteristic beat of the cowbell). You will hear this sort of music being play at fairs, weddings and other important occasions.
Certainly there is a taste in Thailand for melodramatic love ballads - stories featuring heart rending videos of absolute love treated to betrayal and loss. It's a little cloying for my taste; but it plugs into the Thai taste for "pretty, poor girl from the village makes good in the city" love stories that dominate TV channels. Indeed the most successful of these songs often starts as a theme tune.
Speaking of video's, most music video's in Thai music are around 6-9 minutes long. Many revolve around similar plots, mostly about love. Guy leaves small town and girlfriend to work in the big city, guy misses small town and misses his girlfriend, girlfriend cheats on boy, and vice versa.

Time after Time......Cyndi lauper's 1984 original version is the best. ....a lot of artists have redone this song .... its a timeless classic that can be sung in any form or fashion. The line "the second hand unwinds" always captures my interest because I really don't have a clue what it might mean. ......Heres a version from Ronan Keating :)

God I love the Propellerheads. As I understand it, it was a project, not a band. So there will be no second album.
