I saw Led Zep in Honolulu and they were great, and I saw them in Cleveland Ohio and they stunk. A top group, but not even close to Jimi Hendrix who I saw live 5 times. He never put on a bad show, at least that I saw. His "Moon Turn the Tide" was innovative years ahead of impovised electronic music.

Any band is going to have good and bad performances, this one is Zep at the top of their game, New York 1973...

37 years ago... crikey, but they had talent and charisma that todays bands can't even get close to. Maybe it's 'cos they're Brummies or perhaps it's just the crushed velvet bellbottoms.

The brits re-discovered and appreciated authentic American blues which gave rise to the Yardbirds, John Mayall and many other classic British blues bands. Out of the Yardbirds Led Zeppelin was born. They transformed blues into hard metal rock. A truly remarkable band.
