Diceman - luke rhinehart.
For non-fiction
Interesting book Norton I'll definitely be buying that when I find it.
You may like one of my favorites Fiasco Fiasco (book) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia a genuine on the ground analysis of the mismanagement of the Iraq conflict. Different generations of course but the same belligerent and incompetent leadership costing thousands of lives.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
A proud contributor
Thomas the tank engine.
In Cold Blood - Truman Capote
Very hard to choose. I think Deliverance by James Dickey and The Magus by John Fowles are right up there too.

You Can't Win by Jack Black
Jack Kerouac's favorite book.
Some good ones here...I'd like to read The Magus again...Originally Posted by Humbert
One I keep reading over again due to the hilarious nasty humour is "Kill Your Friends" by John Niven.
It's basically a year (1997) in the life of a young psychopath A&R record company exec during the "Britpop" phenom of the time. A little like "American Psycho" only with real humour and startling insights into the recording industry. (Niven actually worked in the industry before starting as an author).
His other stuff, especially "The Amateurs" (about golf) is also brilliantly funny.
One Hundred Years of Solitude by Marquez is my all time favorite. It is enchanting and beautifully written.
I have to admit that I am not into anything too serious - be it novels or non-fiction.
For me it's usually just thrillers, whether legal, police, spy - I don't care. In particular:
John Sandford - Lucas Davenport series
Barry Eisler - John Rain series
Robert Crais - Elvis Cole/Joe Pike series
Paul Levine - Jake Lassiter series
and so on..
Occasionally a humerous one like Jeremy Clarkson's 'For Crying Out Loud'.
Just easy reading.
