Dinner in Bang Na. I fancied the curry or the steak but it hadn't been open long so didn't think the normal chef would be there yet...

Daughter had the turds. Tasted like fried chicken apparently.

Accounts for 4 of my wife's pies at 280 grams per pie = 1.120 kgs of pies at 1 sitting.

    Can you manage that Chitty?

Been trying a few different recipes recently for the traditional Goan pork vindaloo. For this one I substituted the pork for a whole chicken and also stuck in a bit of coriander powder (because I like it).

    Dinner-vin-jpg

I blended the spices and marinated the chicken overnight. It helped that I got pissed and forgot about it

    Dinner-marinate-jpg

Really nice and kept us going for 3 or 4 days as it just got better and better.

    Dinner-vin_serve-jpg

Observations from playing about with the recipe: fenugreek doesn't quite work and pork absorbs the flavours of the spices a little better.

Had a couple of friends around last (Sunday) night for some food and drinks.

    A lamb Rogan Josh.

    Aloo Ghobi

    A spiced basmati rice.

    A prawn and courgette curry.

Rounding things off with a golden syrup sponge pudding which I served with creme fraiche.
