The one in red and in white please. You can keep bruce and the donkey on the far left.
I didn't know "german places" sold Brit junk food, but I am sure they sold it cheap.
Can't have been more than 30 quid.

Not bad but I bet you carn't put a Rowntrees fruit pastel in your mouth without chewing it
Last night's dinner, bought the fish and didn't want to wait:
A small Carp (1.3kg), a Hokaido, Zucchini, Winter Radish - and a carrot & potatoes.
Rub the Carp with white-wine-vinegar, salt & pepper.
Pre-steam the veges (except the Zucchini) for 15 min, then cut up and arrange on a baking tray with olive oil:
Sit the Carp on top:
Almost done, out after 30 min at 220:
All juicy & tender, but could have left it a few min longer:
Chips, beans and pork chop.
Dilly came over to cook.
...red pork on rice with a side of kale this evening...some goodies from the Paul bakery for dessert along with 2 succulent peaches from Australia...panettone and coffee for Christmas breakfast...

Carp soup for lunch.
The second roast of the day courtesy of Simple Simons in Jomtien. It's nice to eat things that aren't swimming in enough oil to risk an US invasion

Today was just one of those days. Reminds me of how easy I got it and how life is good.
Started with a nice walk to the river area with my dog ( We have a Golden Retriever puppy coming next week so we will have another animal at our zoo)
We returned from the walk and and she insisted on playing fetch the coconut for another 30 minutes.
I did some touch up painting around the columns after the new tile was all cleaned and power washed.
Later in the day we went to the few stores and picked up this beauty. A 6.5kg Norweign Salmon fresh as received. I told wife just buy the entire thing and we can BBQ some tonight and freeze the rest. Honestly waaaay cheaper then buying some "Sushi Grade" at Topps for 1130bht a kg. This was 245bht a kg.
At that time I decided once again to try a Aus loin cut steak as they had 2 nice looking ones . (more on that later). I let them come to air for 45 minutes after seasoning them.
While my wife cleaned up that big Salmon, I poured my self a refrshing Vodka Cranberry with a lime wedge and washed my truck while I had Lynyrd Skynryd playing. The weather today was stellar, 12C in morning, 23c in the afternoon.
So I heated up the Q to around 400F and dropped them steaks on the grill for a quick sear then turned heat down quickly to let them cook to a medium rare. I have to say they smelled good, the juices on the plate looked good but the meat was tough and chewy. The salmon I cooked for my wife was delicious. I saved 1 of the steaks to have tomorrow for Breakfast with a few fried eggs.
Anyway Life is good......Us "Merkins" love us a BBQ, Car wash, Drink day.....
