Breakfast in America.
Nice. Is that jam in the jar labelled "Laos"? Or pickles?
It's some of the Laotian coffee we brought back from the Bolivian plateau tour. It was 35000 kip. Two bags were 70,000. The gf says the whole bean was 20,000 per bag. We purchased several but what you see in the jar is one bag of the preground. Just opened the bag today. I was surprised it filled the whole jar.
No trouble bringing it through customs here. However my oranges didn't make it. I should add some pics of the coffee farm to the In and around Lao thread. Still much I haven't added so mabey when the snow flies I'll make the time. Gotta go chop some wood now to get ready for the winter. Peace out, the fishes.
Sorry for the bad dope on prices. We just looked and the whole bean is labeled 35,000 kip, $4.20 usd. Not a bad price and its's from a co-op so the locals have a share in the funds unlike the big producers.
Maybe the gf bartered down a bit. I can't quite say for certain. It was on the rout to Tad Fane near M Pak Song. The road that heads straight east from Pakse. A bit of a drive for me now, haha.
I would recommend some if your ever in the area though. The road should be four lanes by now as they were widening it at the time we were there. Cheers, the fish.
BTW imgur folks allready gave me a -3 points for the coffee pic. I figure it's a blm/ Mexican thing. I don't get it, there are pleanty of squirrels for everyone here. Just have to buy the right license. I can qualify that by knowing some from elsewhere that take more than they are allowed. Same goes for fish and deer. Probably some sour faced city kid living in his moms basement. Have a coffee and chill a bit. Cheers.........what's left of...the fishes.
Wait, I get it now. It says Arabic on the package. Silly me.

Cheap grub at the airport ..level 1
Best place to eat at the airport as well, duck with noodles good.
If you're really hard up you get this kind of dish for 34/45 baht
Btw the Bill Bentley bar is the opposite end of the airport now when you get to the departure area turn left.
25 baht a stir fried veg meal. Bring your own 7 baht bottle of water from 7 and you're sorted.
Caramelised Viet pork again
My "before" picture of my loafed meat....
A kilo of beef with minced bell peppers (capsicums for the British ilk and their substrains ), onion, garlic, celery, wooster sauce, salt and pepper, italian seasoning, sage and a kiss.
The knife and cleaver are a nice touch... Enjoy.
