He had been given a suspended sentence for flashing in February 2009, but was jailed in October 2010 when Northampton magistrates changed the sentence to eight weeks’ imprisonment.


He was released from jail last November after High Court judges said it was wrong to have locked him up for indecent exposure.


Trigger is also prohibited from acting in a manner likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

AN oddball who dressed as a schoolgirl and loitered near children as they walked home from lessons was given a five-year anti-social behaviour order today, a council said.

Peter Trigger dressed up in a grey skirt and jumper, white shirt, baseball cap and a tie, before waiting near a primary school as children came and went, Northampton Borough Council said.

On several occasions the 59-year-old also wore a knee-length laboratory coat and appeared to be wearing NOTHING UNDERNEATH, the authority added.

Trigger received a five-year Asbo at Northampton Magistrates' Court – banning him from WEARING A SKIRT or SHOWING BARE LEGS on a school day between 8.30am and 10am, and 2.45pm and 4pm.

The council said parents complained after children were left "scared and confused" by Trigger's behaviour, between November 2007 and this October.

It added: "All of the parents said that they feared for their children's safety.

"The matter has got so bad that they have stopped walking their children to school on their own and now walk in groups or take the long way round."

Trigger, of Thorplands, Northampton, who is a full-time carer for his elderly mother, was also ordered to pay £250 costs.

A spokesman for Northampton Borough Council said: "We appreciate that Mr Trigger has a right to dress how he likes, but not if it is causing distress or alarm to others, particularly young children, which is the case here."

A CROSS-dresser banned from wearing a schoolgirl's uniform in public has avoided jail for breaching his ASBO by bending over in front of neighbours in a mini-skirt.

Greying Peter Trigger, 60, was given a five year ASBO in December 2008 after loitering outside a primary school wearing a Britney Spears-style outfit of grey skirt, white blouse, burgundy tie, grey ankle socks and a blue cap.
He is banned from wearing a skirt or showing bare legs on a school day between 8.30am and 10am and 2.45pm and 4pm.



He was today found guilty of breaching the ASBO by causing harassment, alarm and distress on December 16 last year following the incident outside his Northampton home.
He paraded in front of Mary and Philip Copping, who live opposite, while wearing a mini-skirt before repeatedly bending over in front them with his back turned.
The couple were getting into Mr Copping's van to go to work at 7.25am when he approached, the court was told.
While they waited for the van to warm up, Trigger emerged from his house — where he cares for his elderly mother — and stood a few feet away from them in the snow wearing his unusual garb.
Mr Copping told Northampton Magistrates' Court: "He was just standing there like he has done before but that day he was standing there with his cap on.
"He was in front of the van on the driver's side. Then he bent over to make out he was doing up his shoelaces up or whatever.
"I sat there waiting for the van to warm up and he does it again. I had the lights on and that's when he bent over. I think on that day he might have had his leggings on.
"There's no bad blood but it does seem to be us that he targets quite often.
"I haven't been happy. I have been stressed when I have been going to work. I don't think it's the right sort of thing to do."
Trigger, who appeared in court dressed in grey trousers, a white shirt and a grey jumper, denied the breach and claimed he was picking up litter.

When the ASBO was initially imposed, the court heard witness statements from parents whose children had been scared and confused by Trigger's behaviour.
During the two-day hearing it emerged Trigger had been unnerving children outside a local school with his antics since October 2007.
Parents claimed Trigger had bent over, shown his bare thighs and indicated he was wearing no underwear.
Northampton Borough Council said he was entitled to wear whatever he wanted, but not if it caused "alarm or distress" to the public.
Trigger has been ordered to attend sex offenders group sessions despite being barred from them in the past because of his attitude.
He will be on the sex offenders register for seven years and will also be kept under supervision for 24 months. There is also a curfew which will prevent him going out between 7am to 9am for the next 12 weeks.
Trigger told magistrates today: "My fundamental attitude is that I did not do the crime that I was convicted of and I did not expose myself."
He was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £300 court costs.
