Holy fuk thank christ I'm over here. This bitch has been biting at Rudd's heels since long before the election, of course the weak punce was gonna lose. It's shocking how incompetent the upper ranks of the ALP are, Gillard is the best we got???

Stand by while she fucks the economy, everyone feels the squeeze and votes back in the unlikeable but capable libs. Thus is the cycle of Aussie politics. Hopefully she doesn't manage to trash the Aussie dollar so the income I draw from back home will buy me more disposable Baht notes.

Reminds me of the 'turd sandwich or giant duche' episode of Southpark. Classic.

Gillard, 48, pledged to seek a popular mandate within months, and set about reversing the issues that sank Rudd by pursuing a dropped carbon trading scheme and urging mining chiefs to cancel a TV campaign against a planned new tax.

( and got away with it )
My question is that as Gillard and Abbott were both born overseas ( Wales and England) you can bet your life they both hold dual passports and according to the precedent would thereby be ineligible for election to the posts in question ?

They may not currently hold a British passport, but they are certainly entitled too.

No worry’s mate it was inevitable that one day the Aussie would need the Poms to take care of them

Well it's about time , we have been looking after them for long enough , through 3 wars now ?
PS. can I have some more reds ? - it's my favourite colour!

I have a British and Aussie passport. My old man was born in Scotland which makes me entitled to a British passport, just FYI.

Not necessarily. When my family emigrated to Australia I did not have a seperate British passport- I travelled on their passport.
Pretty sure you can claim one if you apply for it ?- haven't met a Pommy born Aussie yet that didn't hang on to their British passport like glue?
Greeks , Italians certainly do and I guess because we are stupid enough to recognise dual citizenships we can't expect anything else?
Try getting Japanese or Thai citizenship.

Very true , and judging by some of the comments I read here the sooner we breed out the ugly poms the better.

What's the record for most reds received?

It's a mandatory requirement for Labor Prime Ministers , the trend was started by "Old cry on cue" Bob Hawke.

P H, as I said.... a wake up call for Australian voters! not to be be swayed to vote for your local L or L party member to help elect that party......hoping to assist a charismatic individual in another electorate to become leader.
.......as that party may instantly shaft him/her at any time if he doesn't do as he is told! eg, Kevin Rudd !

In the last election the A.L.P. used him as the key to the door...to get the sheep votes, get to power and instigate policy changes...... Don't write off Kevin Rudd yet....watch him lurk in the shadows, waiting for his chance to rise again!
......Like or dislike Kevin Rudd, I think the A.L.P. has seriously under estimated the average Aussie's belief in giving everyone a "fair go" ....The A.L.P. self distruct sword is still swinging in the back room! Where will the Church and family first votes go now.......how will the Julia Gillard pressured teachers now vote......

    Repo sent.

I suppose the mere fact Rudd was turned over like he was only goes to show the levels of change he wanted to make and the people with the dollars and the real power were not going to have it either way.

With regard to Rudd, I cannot really comment on the man having not lived in Oz for years but I just arrived back from China and he certainly pissed off the Chinese which I thought was a good thing.

A man with big balls who bit off more then he could chew.
