I think Islam is going to fade away just like Christianity. It will become less influential although it may enjoy a spell as the most important religion in the UK on its way out.

I may be wrong (I frequently am!), but I do think that Europe and the UK will see the rise of Islamic political parties in the near future as the current secular political parties don't exactly match the needs and goals of Europe's growing Islamic minorities. I predict that these Islamic parties will be economically liberal but socially conservative.

I find the ongoing biffo among Brits about Islam and immigration in the UK quite interesting. I understand Australia and New Zealand's percentage of the population who were born abroad is twice that of the UK's. And Canada's percentage is 50% greater than the UK's.
