Legend, I hope the UK are decent enough to give him an honorary knighthood. Not that it would mean much to his family but it would decent be a decent gesture to a very brave man.

    Objectives:

    - distraction of slaughter of civilians by Israel, NaGaStan and UK military.

    - distraction from the fall of Avdeevka

-distraction from the fallout of the Putin interview

    - distraction from the murder of Gonzalo Lira

    - distraction from the imminent extradition of Julian Assange

    - distraction from cognitive collapse of Biden

    - whip up more Russia-hate to ensure more money into the black hole.

A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.

Because a prisoner dies in a Russian prison?

Many prisoners die in state prisons, all over the world.

Navalny's 'killers' refusing to hand over body, allies say

MOSCOW: Alexei Navalny's supporters on Saturday (Feb 17) accused Russian authorities of being "killers" who were "covering their tracks" by refusing to hand over his body, as the Kremlin stayed silent despite Western accusations and a flood of tributes to the late opposition leader.

The 47-year-old Kremlin critic died in an Arctic prison on Friday after spending more than three years behind bars, prompting outrage and condemnation from Western leaders and his supporters.

His death, which the West has blamed on the Kremlin, deprives Russia's opposition of its figurehead just a month before elections poised to extend President Vladimir Putin's grip on power.

On Saturday, Navalny's mother, Lyudmila and his lawyer were refused access to his body, after arriving in the region of the remote prison colony where he had been held, his spokeswoman Kira Yarmysh said.

"It's obvious that the killers want to cover their tracks and are therefore not handing over Alexei's body, hiding it even from his mother," Navalny's team said in a post on Telegram.

Russian police on Saturday moved swiftly to break up small protests and memorials in honour of the deceased Kremlin critic.

They arrested more than 340 people in 30 cities, the OVD-Info rights group said.

In the capital Moscow, AFP reporters saw two people being detained at a makeshift tribute in central Moscow, while hundreds of tearful mourners laid flowers in the snow.

"Alexei Navalny's death is the worst thing that could happen to Russia," said one note left among the flowers.

They'll be lucky if they get anything back, and if they do it will be ashes or missing some key forensic components.

43 countries want international investigation into Navalny's death

    Karen Nielsen

In a joint statement to the UN Human Rights Council, 43 countries said they demanded an independent international investigation into the death of Russian opposition politician Alexei Nalvalny. It writes the news agency AFP.

Danish Lotte Knudsen, the EU's ambassador to the UN, said on behalf of the 43 countries that everyone was outraged by Navalny's death and that "the ultimate responsibility lies with President Putin and the Russian authorities".

In addition to the EU countries, the United States, Norway, Great Britain, Canada and New Zealand, among others, are behind the demand for an international investigation into the death.

FN-rapportør: Russia is responsible for Navalny's death

    OF
    Morten Top

The death of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny is the responsibility of the Russian Government, as he was either killed in prison or died as a result of conditions in the Siberian penal camp where he was being held.

UN Special Rapporteur Mariana Katzarova told Reuters news agency.

"So the Russian government is responsible for his death no matter what," she said.

According to Russian authorities, Alexei Navalny died on February 16 of natural causes. He was 47 years old.

Mariana Katsarova also warns that other Russian prisoners could suffer the same fate as Navalny, and she expresses concern for opposition politician Vladimir Kara-Murza, among others.

"Since Alexei Navalny's death, not a day goes by that I don't ask myself who will be next. With this degree of oppression, there will definitely be a next, she says.

Something tells me that there are now consensus to what caused Navalnys death.

(didn't help that Budanov stabbed his allies in the back)

And yes, Russia is responsible for the health of their prisoners.

Just like Ukraine, who shamefully, denied the american journo Gonzalo Lira, medication and just watched him die.

Forgot to post news about that, Misskit ?

Yeah well, probably not one of...yours

Has been mentioned several times in the thread, where most real information is posted, and where Misskit doesn't have to .......move and delete stuff.

She's a bit delicate when it comes to "news" that doesn't fit her little nighty-night story.

    You need a link ?

Do I have to and have you asked for it ?

What's more likely Helga, the people that previously tried to kill him, killed him? Or somehow Ukraine had access to guards in a Siberian prison watching over one of the most high profile prisoners in Russia? Is your common sense over ruled by obvious propaganda?
