WARNING: DISTRESSING SCENES FOR BEER LOVERS
In news that will send shockwaves through the nation’s tradies, an enormous cargo of Victoria Bitter has disastrously been destroyed in a highway truck smash.
Hundreds of cases of the “Very Best” were left strewn over the Pacific Highway at Glenthorne, near Taree in NSW, after a truck crashed early today.
Emergency services are working up a hard-earned thirst by cleaning up the smash, including mopping up gallons of the amber nectar from the busy road.
The truck appears to have lost control and collided with a nearby bank on the busy road.
Police and ambulance crews responded to the scene, but nobody involved required medical transport.
The crash shut down one of two southbound lanes on the highway approaching Manning River Drive.
