Sky sources: Jamal Khashoggi's body parts found
Sources have told Sky News the writer had been "cut up" and his face "disfigured".
Body parts belonging to murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi have been found, according to Sky sources.
Sources have told Sky News the writer had been "cut up" and his face "disfigured".
One source also suggested Mr Khashoggi's remains were discovered in the garden of the Saudi consul general's home.
It comes after Turkey's president said Mr Khashoggi's body had not been found and demanded Saudi officials reveal its whereabouts.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said: "Why has the body of someone who was officially said to be killed not been found yet?"
It's been said that goats will eat anything.
Very poorly conceived and carried out, even if it was in fact a questioning which got out of hand. They just made one stupid move after another.
Allegedly the Turkish President does not accept the current situation.
Some quotes from his speech yesterday, to his Parliament.
“A Saudi team of three people landed in Istanbul one day before Khashoggi’s killing, visited forests in Istanbul and Yalov”.
–“Saudi consulate cameras were removed, all footage was deleted from hard drives. Camera footage shows Khashoggi did not leave the consulate”
–“Saudi Arabia denied the incident on Oct. 4, the consul general invited a Reuters reporter and showed him cupboards, claiming nothing happened”.
–“Murder took place inside Saudi consulate but it should not be forgotten that it took place on Turkish soil; Vienna Convention doesn’t allow investigation of such murders to be prevented by diplomatic immunity”
–“Evidence shows Khashoggi’s killing was a result of a planned operation; Why was the team assembled in Istanbul, Who gave the instruction, Why wasn’t the consulate open to the investigation until many days later? Why were conflicting statements made? Where is the body of a person who was admittedly murdered?”
In addition:
"In summary, while Erdogan did not formally accuse the King or Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia of planning this operation, he made it clear that both the now entirely discredited initial Saudi denial of Khashoggi’s murder as well as the subsequent “death through fighting” explanation are both woefully insufficient.
Erdogan further called on the eighteen suspects (as well as any further suspects) in the murder to be tried not in Saudi Arabia but in Istanbul.
Erdogan further stated that future amendments to the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations should be amended to make it easier to bring any future murders or other crimes in consular facilities to justice.
Finally, Erdogan said that any local help that Khashoggi murderers may have had must be investigated and that such peoples shall be brought to justice. Here, Erdogan carefully planted the seed that if Riyadh should seek to use its wealth to fund anti-Turkish terror groups, that such criminal acts will be met with a merciless response."

A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
^However, still not enough evidence like the strong one found recently in "highly likely" case. So please, do not draw a rush conclusion... (that would be difficult - and embarassing for us - to reverse)
Erdogan is taking orders from Qatar, so no-one gives a fuck what he says.
Meanwhile it will all blow over apart from occasional mentions on the anniversary and the like.
Putin has already shown with Litvinenko and the Skrpals that, if you're rich and powerful enough, you can basically bullshit your way out of anything.
Interestingly the Saudis managed to bring the price of oil down substantially yesterday when they announced that they had all the west needed, despite previously stating a high output was unsustainable, I'm sure there was no pressure on them & the recent unpleasant events were never mentioned
no doubt.
heads in riyadh will literally roll, but the US govt and various industries are too intertwined with the saudis to come undone over this.
and when you add the trump administration's reckless iran policy to the equation, there's no way that they cut off the saudis completely.
"With his richness he shown us", that his some 100 diplomats were expelled, businesses sanctioned, some people business frozen,
no contact to his citizen in question and many more. How wonderful "bullshitting"...
With Litvinenko, after 12 years, still not much better.
But perhaps harry does know more what we do not..
Wondering whether the Saudis are "rich and powerful enough" to reach better results (and "severe punishment")...
imagine if it was Russia and Putin involved, it would be on the UN security council debate floor already
but SA and the new prince, move along, nothing to see
Is a Saudi Caligula moment upon us?
In early AD 41, Caligula was assassinated as a result of a conspiracy by officers of the Praetorian Guard, senators, and courtiers. The conspirators' attempt to use the opportunity to restore the Roman Republic was thwarted, however. On the day of the assassination of Caligula, the Praetorians declared Caligula's uncle, , Claudius, the next Roman emperor.
Well MBS has certainly made a few enemies but I think they chopped up the wrong target.
I've been giving this some thought and I have come up with this idea/theory.
Turkey has 95 to 100% proof who did it and who ordered it including video or audio of MBS himself ordering the kill or mutilation/head chop off, etc.
Why do I think this? Turkey has been drip feeding information, leaking it bits at a time. At first the Saudis deny, deny, deny, then they squirm, then squirm some more, then they admit to something. Turkey can only do this if they have the information, or are cleverly putting bits together to force the Saudis into admitting something. The Turks have not blamed MBS directly. No, that would be too much too soon, playing their ace card too early. And I do think they have that ace card. That's why they are so confident and why they can play it this way. The way the Turks are doing it, the Saudis have the opportunity to tell the truth ... or lie. Each time they lie, they lose more credibility. But when they admit to something, they also lose credibility. So the Turks drag it out of them a bit at a time. The Saudi establishment will be in turmoil. Some Saudis have lost and some will lose their jobs, some will likely lose their heads. And when the Turks eventually play their ace card, MBS will fall, though perhaps not by the sword. In the end, a new Saudi crown prince will take the place of MBS and Turkey will get the credit for exposing the Saudis' nastiness. Perhaps the Turks hope or expect to gain more than that. I don't know. But that's my idea. It seems plausible. What do you think?
No chance. But it seems they were bugging the consulate, and they probably did it at Qatar's behest, hence the audio they shouldn't have. Saudi will be fucking furious which is probably the idea.
The Al Thanis will be pissing themselves, and Erdogan will get a nice tickle for that.
Meanwhile, credit to the hackers who discovered a vulnerability in the "Davos in the Desert" website and "redecorated" it:
I feel sorry for the big guys, what they should declare now (they are terrible concerned with the well being their subjects, not to lose lucrative jobs):
Trudeau says Canada could freeze Saudi arms contract over Khashoggi killing, but it's 'very difficult'
Canada exported C$1.37 billion ($1.05 billion) worth of goods to Saudi Arabia last year, mostly tanks and other armored fighting vehicles and their parts, according to Statistics Canada. London, Ontario-based General Dynamics Land Systems, a unit of U.S.-based General Dynamics Corp., manufactures armored vehicles under a contract with Saudi Arabia signed by the Canadian government in 2014. The contract is worth up to $13 billion. A representative at the Canadian unit declined to comment on Trudeau’s remarks late Monday.

The things are getting calm. On Drudgereport.com is no longer anything about Kashoggi.
Just small mentioning:
