Al Jazeera seems to think the Kuwaitis will intercede on their behalf.
More like they will be messenger boys carrying a piece of paper to Qatar with "Fuck off" written on it in Arabic.
Meanwhile the Qataris are still pretending they don't know what it's all about.
Thick fuckers they are.
Pretending for sure. They knew damn well the moment the Saudis had Trump eating out of their hands this was coming. Emboldened by assured support from Trump the Saudis along with their friends moved to escalate a long festering feud with Qatar.Originally Posted by harrybarracuda

"President Donald Trump on Tuesday weighed in on the escalating dispute between Qatar and several Arab nations, appearing to suggest on Twitter that leaders in the Middle East followed his lead and cut ties with Qatar.
“During my recent trip to the Middle East I stated that there can no longer be funding of Radical Ideology. Leaders pointed to Qatar - look!” Trump tweeted. He followed about 90 minutes later with a series of tweets more clearly taking credit for the Qatar moves."

Qatar are no saints but neither are the Saudis. Well aware Qatar pays for a good portion of Hezbolla along with Iran. Now who the fuck do you think pays for or supports ISIS/ISIL/DAESH, Al Qaeda, Taliban, Al-Jihad, Lashkar-e-Taiba. All Sunni Terrorist groups aligned with Wahhabi Islam.Originally Posted by harrybarracuda

"US investigators believe Russian hackers breached Qatar's state news agency and planted a fake news report that contributed to a crisis among the US' closest Gulf allies, according to US officials briefed on the investigation.
The FBI recently sent a team of investigators to Doha to help the Qatari government investigate the alleged hacking incident, Qatari and US government officials say.
Intelligence gathered by the US security agencies indicates that Russian hackers were behind the intrusion first reported by the Qatari government two weeks ago, US officials say. Qatar hosts one of the largest US military bases in the region."

Damn Russians at it again.
Yeah, those pesky russkies.
Bet they write suicide notes for those Pattaya jumpers too.
Qatar's state-of-the-art Hamad International bills itself as one of the most luxurious airports in the world - but on Tuesday, it was also one of the quietest.
As a travel ban announced by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) came into force, terminals and drop-off areas at Doha's "gateway to the world" were deserted.
"This is the emptiest airport I've ever been in," said Katie, transiting Qatar en route to Thailand. "It's exceptionally quiet, almost eerie."
Hamad's cavernous three-year-old terminals, constructed at an estimated cost of $16 billion (14 billion euros), can seem relatively empty on normal days because of their massive size.
But the diplomatic crisis between Doha and Riyadh backed by its Arab allies that has isolated Qatar left Hamad International a shadow of its normal activity on Tuesday.
With more than 30 Qatar Airways flights cancelled to and from Doha, there were neither traffic jams at departures where travellers are dropped off nor lines for taxis to pick up arriving passengers.
Inside, a calm air of weary resignation too hold.
Passengers gazed at information screens inside the terminals with amusement and pointed at cancelled flights to and from destinations across the Gulf, including Jeddah, Dammam and Dubai.
For most passengers, the experience was one of bemusement.
"I have never seen it like this," said the civil engineer, who was travelling home to New Delhi. "It's crazy. I hope the crisis will finish soon."
Downstairs in the arrivals hall, Jaffa, a taxi driver from the Philippines who picks up passengers every day, chuckled at the emptiness."I've never seen so few people here," he said.
Scenes were more frantic elsewhere in the Gulf as desperate Qatar Airways' passengers scrambled to find alternative travel arrangements.
Scenes of long queues on social media showed travellers at Qatar Airways offices across the Gulf, as Saudi Arabia announced it had revoked the carrier's licence and would close all its offices in the country within 48 hours.
Marsudi, an Indonesian trying to travel to Doha from Riyadh, told AFP he was holding a ticket, paid for by his employer, for a flight home to central Java via Saudi Arabia next Saturday. "They have to do something," he said.
In the United Arab Emirates, the situation was just as bad for both those travelling on business and expats trying to fly home. "It's appalling, basically," said Farrukh Hafez, trying to find a flight home to Manchester.
"I won't be able to use my ticket, I can't travel," he said outside a Qatar Airways office in Abu Dhabi. "It has just absolutely disturbed all my summer plans and I don't know if I'll find any alternative flight to Manchester."

There's no panic here... went to the supermarket last night and didn't see any of the stockpiling that's been reported on some media.
Well, lets look at the fact on the ground- at a strategic level.
Qatar-
Has the most affluent population in the World, in income and nett worth terms, by a large margin
The homogeneous citizenry is happy with the leadership (although they get SFA representation)
Hosts the largest US foreign miltary base in the world, Centcom
Is just across the Hormuz Strait from Iran, which has it's back- for food supplies, air space, etc.
Has a modern and well funded military
Saudi-
Has in many places a restless, alienated population- with much more diversity.
Large segments of the population- the Shia, especially in the west and south, have no great regard for the Saud's, or their vile brand of Islam.
With the drop in oil prices, is nowhere near as financially stable as Qatar- although by no means poor. The nation has been running huge deficits in recent years.
The King is a vegetable- it is his aggressive, 31 year old son that largely runs the show now.
Has a modern and well funded military.
It doesn't look good for the Saud's, Imo.
But yet again, it looks good for Iran.
Neither party to this conflict is angelic (as Norton pointed out)- but any fool can tell you the largest funders and disseminators of Islamic radicalism, terrorism, and vile Wahhabi doctrine is Saudi Arabia. Not Qatar, not Iran.
Basically, I think they (Saud's) have bitten off more than they can chew- and will be further exposed for it. The Saud's have coveted Qatar's vast wealth for some time, while resenting their 'non-aligned' foreign policy.
I don't follow the 'bitten off more than they can chew' line. KSA is not acting alone, and by the sound of it Qatar is coming to heel pretty swiftly.
You realise the power of the GCC vs Qatar, right?
Iran has its eye on expanding its sphere of influence from Iraq through Syria to Lebanon.
Destabilising Jordan will be next. It's already interfering in Bahrain and the Eastern Province.
What do you think Hezbollah is, the fucking Red Cross?
THAT is what Saudi are bothered about.
Harrys trolling.. he can't really be as dumb as he sounds.

Hezbollah is Shia- thus anyone that funds them, the Sunni states (the largest terorrist funders in the world by far, and inc. Saudi the disseminators and funders of vile Wahhabi doctrine), don't like this. And neither does Israel- thus you have this current, largely unspoken, unholy alliance. It may well feed into the recent manufactured crisis- given that 'certain parties' (I would guess under the sponsorship of Qatar) recently leaked email comm's showing widespread collaboration within DC between at least one high ranking GCC diplomat, and right wing Israeli 'think tanks' - ie, lobby groups. How embarassing.Originally Posted by harrybarracuda
But really- what percentage of the dollars that go to Hezbollah (or Hamas, big deal) go to guns and weaponry- as opposed to hospitals, nurses, schools, traffic cops etc?
As compared to say, Isis or Al Qaeda?
And yes, Hezbollah does runs a version of the red cross (or green scimitar)- it has many medical facilities, ambulances & paramedics.
No shit Sherlock. Who the fuck do you think funds them?
As do most military forces. And yes, Hezbollah does runs a version of the red cross (or green scimitar)- it has many medical facilities, ambulances & paramedics.
Cracks me up when people say Iran are all roses and Hezbollah are the Red Crescent.
How naive can you be?
Naive enough to invent a green scimitar I suppose.
Update: The bods have all flown to Riyadh to hear Qatar's pleas for mercy today.
They'd better make them convincing.
The Kuwaiti Amir has flown home, presumably because he's been told that if he's not sticking by the rest of them then he can fuck off.
^^ Naive enough not to have said that the Assad regime would fall within six weeks, as you said about six years ago.
The world does not revolve around your propagandised nonsense harry. Suggest you widen & vary your sources.
^ Oh, "Qatar's pleas for mercy". A bit like Assad's regime collapse then.

Qataris unable to board QANTAS flights to Dubai:
Qatari nationals will not be allowed to board Qantas flights to Dubai because the United Arab Emirates has banned them
from passing through its airports, the company's chief executive says.
The announcement comes after Arab powers cut ties with Qatar, a gas-rich nation that will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Several Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE announced they would withdraw diplomatic staff
from the tiny Gulf state over what they said was Qatar's support for terrorism, a claim Qatar vehemently denied.
The UAE had already said Qatari nationals would not be allowed to enter the country or cross its points of entry, although
the practical effects on airline passengers had been unclear until now.
Qatari nationals will now not be allowed to pass through airports in the UAE even to change planes."UAE have banned Qatari nationals from transiting through UAE, so we're looking to see if that affects"If it does, we will offer them [route] alternatives," he told reporters on the sidelines of an airline industry meeting in Mexico.

Unsuprisingly you don't have a clue what a fucking mess this has created for Qatar in more ways than one.^ Oh, "Qatar's pleas for mercy". A bit like Assad's regime collapse then.
