The American media seems to be psychologically preparing the US public for a conflict with NK.
It's the usual process in previous conflicts, such as Gulf War I and II.

North Korea has test-fired a ballistic missile from a region north of its capital, but it appears to have failed, South Korea's military says,
defying intense pressure from the United States and the reclusive state's main ally, China.
An official at South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed the launch but did not immediately have any further information.
South Korean news agency Yonhap said the missile appeared to have blown up a few seconds into its flight.
The US military said it tracked the missile launch, but it did not leave North Korean territory and did not pose a threat to North America.
US officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the missile was probably a medium-range missile known as a KN-17 and appeared to have broken up within minutes of taking off.

Nork has never threatened anyone except in retaliation. Nork has a right to defend itself, just as Israel has.
When Israel is pressured as much as Nork to comply with nuclear treaties, I'll consider changing my view as appropriate.

For every scaremongering article claiming Dante's Inferno there another one explaining why Seoul is out of range to 99% of NK's artillery.
Seoul and the US have been gathering data, researching and planning tactics for years about neutralising NK's mostly outdated artillery near the DMZ in the event of a conflagration. If the US gets the first strike they will most likely take out the most dangerous stuff very quickly.
Very unlikely that NK can realistically inflict any serious damage.
