It's one thing to save the career of an experienced pilot who has a bout of depression at some point during his or her working life, but just plain stupid to have retained someone who couldn't even get though training without psychological problems. There were clearly better and more qualified candidates available.

They don't need new rules and procedures, they (Lufthansia) did something stupid and lacking common sense when they retained this clown, and need to not do it again.
