Sometimes, I think the entire world' s authorities have taken a stupid pill.

    Thirty fucking minutes.

Unbelievable really. Two buck niggers wielding knives and a meat cleaver with bloodstained hands and a butchered body lying in the middle of a London thoroughfare in broad daylight and it takes these numoties thirty fucking minutes to secure the scene.

Rather think the Commisioner has some explaining to do but then, it'll no doubt be some anodyne, mumbling excuse clouded in jargonese evading the issue.

Thirty fucking minutes. It' s really mind boggling just how totally, fucking inept the police have become. And if one of them trips over a fucking pavement or is called a poof or lezzie and they claim thousands of ££ in compensation.
    So lets talk about cops.

Let's wait for more information later today but it looks more like an opportunist attack than a planned one.
they were carrying half a dozen meat cleavers and long butchering knives.

The Woolwich 'beheading' is straight out of al-Qaeda's terror manual
By Con Coughlin World Last updated: May 22nd, 2013
    Comment on this

The horrific killing in Woolwich, where a man believed to be a soldier based at the nearby Woolwich barracks was beheaded by two machete-wielding assailants, has all the hallmarks of an al-Qaeda attack.
At the time of writing we are still awaiting confirmation from security officials about the precise nature of the incident. But having just watched some ITV footage, which shows a man with bloodied hands who is carrying a machete saying directly into the camera "We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you", it seems pretty clear to me what has happened.
For years al-Qaeda activists such as Anwar al-Awlaki, the American-born cleric who preached global jidad from his base in Yemen until he was killed by a U.S. drone strike two years ago, have been calling on their followers to launch their own home-grown attacks.
Rather than trying to carry out sophisticated operations on the scale of the September 11 attacks, or the July 7 bombings in London in 2005, Awlaki urged his followers to take matters into their own hands and conduct basic attacks, such as launching suicide bomb attacks in British shopping centres, or attacking British military targets.
To date the intelligence and security services appear to have succeeded in disrupting these so-called homegrown plots, and a number of al-Qaeda terrorists have recently received lengthy jail terms. In one of these plots an al-Qaeda terrorist wanted to kidnap a British soldier in the Midlands and film himself beheading his captive.
Now it seems al-Qaeda has finally achieved its goal.

brainwashed by a manic cleric in one of the local mosques and jihadist websites these men decided to act. it will be interesting to know their backgrounds and history.

Truly, a bunch of wooden-topped fuckwits.

Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, the Commissioner of the Met, must be called to account fir this unutterable shambles.
Is this some diversion tactic ?

I thought the issue at hand here was that some Islamic lunatics beheaded a guy in the name of Islam in the middle of a London street.

Yeah lets talk about the cops ,I wonder what the left wing "appeasers" would have said if the cops arrived in a couple of minutes and and upon see the dead guy on the ground and these two lunatics walking round with blood stained weapons and then opened up with automatic firearms thus eliminating the threat to further life and limb .

Well, Socal, that is becoming the story. To aggrandise the murder as an act of terrorism is downright stupid. It was simply an act of random barbarity perpetrated by two savages, ostensibly in the name of whatever garbled motive that might occur to them.

Murder is murder. Politicising it is unhelpful and simply provides ammunition to those stupid enough to dwell upon some imaginary significance.

For me, it's just another random stabbing by subhumans upon a poor, hapless and innocent victim.

But the police response is certainly one of significance not least because it could have led to an even worse slaughter.

^Indeed... but at bottom that is true of so much of what is called "terror" in the GWOT discourse that infects all our media...

In this case it is obviously even more the case, but ignoring the "religious/hate crime" angle can't help either.

Yes, I am/was an American. But this is not a Brit-bashing post. Neither is it a gun violence in America post.

It's a serious question. What is with unarmed British police? Are you simply living in some fantasy of times gone by? Were I a copper, I wouldn't police the streets of a major city ANYWHERE unless provided with serious firepower, and perhaps the odd flamethrower or grenade launcher.

    Anyone know the answer?

After reading that garbage I have concluded that you are the sludge at bottom of the muslim apologist barrel.

Just watching TV here....Even the left wing bimbo BBC anchor girls have a more rational take on this then you do. And that is saying a lot.

Why? So they can avoid danger and doing their job while they sit back and wait for the armed coppers to arrive?

Nulabour in their ghastly social experiment sought to reinforce a spurious commitment to inclusivity and utopian multi-cultural pluralism by creating new crimes motivated by sentiments they perceived would undermine their silly agenda.

Crime is crime. Chopping someone's head off because you hate the cvunt is no different to decapitating him because he's a ginga. Either fucking way it's murder. Motive as mitigation or justification is for a court of law.

To prosecute someone differently to another because of that motive is quite wrong and discriminatory.

Hate crime legislation is just the bastard son of thoughtspeak fascism and should be dismissed.

I must say I wouldn't have stood in front of someone who had just done that and was carrying a knife and a meat cleaver in his bloodsoaked hands holding a mobile phone and listening to what he had to say......

    the whole thing was surreal

My jaw almost dropped when I saw that and several other similar incidents

These two guys just hung around waiting for the police to arrive (they were in no hurry, 20 minutes was nothing), hands bloodstained, cleavers in hand

the public seemingly totally unaware, chatting and going about their business

as for it being a terrorist attack; I suppose you could call two drug addled loonies turned by their local Mullah "terrorist" as the target was a British soldier

other than that, it was the work of drug addled loonies
    I have reported your post

Davis has a point. If you're gonna spend decades importing people from war zones, many of whom hate your culture, and weapons are easily available, then how can you expect the police to do their job without being armed?

Having said that, I'm against arming the police; it'd be better to deal with the problem at source. However, it may be too late. Drastic action is required (which won't be taken by the useless UK government), so things are gonna get worse.

I moved out of London when I couldn't stand the violence in my area (Southgate) any more; in one day, I was attacked by a knife wielding Somalia at the train station for not giving him my train ticket to sell on (the cowardly transport police blammed me and the local police wouldn't even take a complaint from me!), then I decided to meet my gf from the same underground station a couple of hours later just to make sure she was safe. My usual route was blocked by a murder (a Greek murdered a Turk), so I went the other way, was early, decided to get a pint at the pub and sat out front just in case she came home early and walked by. A couple of Balkan chaps had an argument with another Balkan chap, and one pulled out a full length sword from under his trenchcoat and hacked the guy to death (I presume, it didn't look good for him - I didn't hang around too long, just called the police from my mobile and went to the train station). I decided that evening to leave. I think things have gotten a lot worse since. Southgate was a nice peaceful suburban(ish) area when I was a kid...

Awful government policies over several decades have destroyed England.
    Cycling should be banned!!!

Police don't need guns normally, although the team that turned up on this occasion were armed

seemed unnecessary as the gun the blokes had was redundant, maybe just a copy

There's another angle to it mate. The theory goes that if we armed every police officer it'd make even more criminals start carrying guns, and it'd become a vicious circle increasing the levels of violence associated with crime.

At present, only the most hardened and serious criminals tend to carry guns, your average Joe Criminal doesn't.

Dunno about unnecessary mate, due to the nature of their ramblings it wasn't outlandish to assume they may be wearing suicide vests.

Also, there have been eyewitness reports they tried firing the gun but it either backfired or failed to work.

The problem is when this stops being true; maybe it has already. Also, knives are very common, as are bloody large knives and swords, meat cleavers, etc. I agree with the principle, but reckon that the 'average Joe Criminal' or even 'average Joe 'non-career criminal' is a lot more violent and tooled up nowadays.
