(UK) Texts to deter illegal migrants

who thinks this will actually work?

    Texts to deter illegal migrants
Text messages reminding people not to overstay their visas are part of a new drive by the government to clamp down on illegal migrants.

this is the latest bright idea to be introduced by the British government and is surely something we need to introduce here in Thailand. I'm off to propose the idea to immigration

I just got a message that I had set for myself to tell me I have to go for 90 day reporting today.
    I think it's a great idea.

When we applied for the UK visa for my wife I noticed one of the questions was something like
"Are you now or have you ever been a member of a terrorist orginisation"

So thats sure to weed most of them out

If only they had thought of asking this question at the borders, Astrid Proll would never have made it to England.

My brother and I used to terrorize our parents when we were young. It wasn't organized but it was fun.

I think this is used so they can nail you with something afterwards if you are proven to be lying.

There's loads of Poles living in 'my' town. They all seem to be well presented, very hard working and pleasant to talk to. I prefer them to the locals, most of whom would be better placed in a world class zoo in Kansas City....Saying that, are the Poles 'immigrants', or just fellow Europeans? I really should read the newspapers before I use them as toilet paper.

^Truth be told I have adopted the 'hosepipe' method in the UK. I get a few complaints from the neighbours, but I think that what I do in my own garden is up to me.
