And STILL they flock to the crimson ring: Tens of thousands more were drawn to the memorial as the capital fell silent in remembrance
As bells rang out at 11am yesterday, the vast crowd stood hushed before the sea of ceramic poppies
The poppy installation is due to be completed tomorrow on Armistice Day as final flowers are planted in the moat
Volunteers will start dismantling the artwork - the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red - on Wednesday

This installation is staying a little longer i am told.
I bought one of the poppys back in June.
I think they are worried they will crack if there is a bad frost.
What a wonderful, touching thing to see.
Impressive photos
Link to an article, with some good photos of the poppies being made at Johnsons factory in Tunstall- with clay from Etruria (Stoke on Trent).

So I took the Mongolian gf to a day trip around TofL; she was enjoying herself and finally I took her to the Crown Jewels; we looked around for about 30 minutes and she was silent the whole time. As we walked out, she looked sternly at me and said: "If Chinggis had known about this place you'd be speaking Mongolian now!" True.
Cycling should be banned!!!
Your Mongolian friend looked like he had his own set of Crown Jewels
My best although distant friend did the steel fabrication for the new Raven's Enclosure.
He said the design was a nightmare and the female architect had no appreciation for steel work design or fabrication. Essentially there were no shop drawings and there was not one straight piece of steel in the whole thing. The Raven Enclosure was designed to exaggerate the innate qualities of each material and the architects worked very closely with the craftsmen in a collaborative process of making and approval which involved regular visits to the manufactures workshop rather than the traditional, more distant process of reviewing and approving shop drawings.
He even had a few visits for the Master Raven Keeper, who explained the whole myth thing as false as the ravens were taken out during WWII and that there are other ravens at the breeding centre in the west country.
A plug for NH Ricketts (Engineering) - Haddenham as he doesn't get a mention anywhere else.

Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.

Those who cannot change their mind, cannot change anything.

Hi, Halen, I do agree with you and would like to say that all those images which they have shared are really nice. I also want to see your collection and hope so you will like to share when you are able to share with all.
However, let me know have you ever visited London in your life?
