&, I couldn't even remember exactly where it was until I checked online... that might say something about what kinda nights they were or how my memory is thesedays.

At first, I thought Pat meant the Town & Country in Kentish Town - that really freaked me out...

Farking Witherspoons, destoyer of our proud traditions.

Fuk, I'm old... Please don't tell me the Underworld in Camden has gone too...

How can Town&Country die, that's heritage that is; music is what we're good at; creativity; social comment... I need to lie down for a while.

    It's all Mr Slap's fault!

I had one of my worst ever culinary experiences in Weatherspoons Fulham Broadway a few years back .
I nipped in their for a quick Sunday roast and there was a decrepit old guy sitting opposite me and he had a bandage around his neck , during my meal, he removed the bandage to reveal a gaping hole in his throat , coughed and deposited a large bit of mucus from this throat into a tissue .
    Completely ruined my appetite .

Terry when I built my place, I was the supervisor/ labourer. I got into the same dietary habits as the builders. Cold, wet winter mornings start with just a mug of steaming tea at around 07.30, break at 10.30 for a full English breakfast. Grilled sausage and bacon, griddles eggs, beans, mushrooms, it's quiet healthy really and would keep me going until the days work was finished.
It's when you go to lazy cooks that start deep frying everything it becomes a heart attack on a plate.
Or when you become a lazy bastard yourself but still eat the big fry ups .......mea culpa.

Weatherspoons in Aberdeen, The Archiebald Simpson (Archie's), is actually joined on the Sheriff Court, underneath the police recruitment offices and round the corner from police HQ. It's like cops n robbers in there.
