I've been a member of Gamesgrid (gaming site) for years, and for about the last month I haven't been able to log in from my home computer, though I can as normal and with no problem from any other computer. When I try to log in the system goes through the motions, and then returns a 'no connection' error.
I thought it may be a case for system restore, but unfortunately mine seems to have saved no points from last month, before my UK trip and when I had no problem logging in. Also, my system restore appears to have deleted all September restore points as well as early-mid October restore points, despite no pressure on disk space allocation, that I know for a fact were created since my return.
Now, the first I learned of the login problem was the day after I returned to LoS on 5th Oct, and immediately after I attached a USB removeable drive to test it; some error came up with an offer to auto-fix, I clicked OK and it was done, removeable always worked fine, but haven't been able to log in to Gamesgrid since...may or may not be a connection.
Since then, fiddling with some settings revealed the existence of some Realtech/Ethernet (?) network connector that I did not know I had before (am on ADSL using Access Runner), so I have since been deleting/deactivating/uninstalling wherever it was found, on the offchance.
Now at a loss and in urgent need of my gaming fix.
