Forum Display Problem - Anyone Else Get It?

This is what I get when writing a PM. It all looks good, all boxes nicely centred and within the margins of the page:

But this is what I get when writing a post. The message box looks too wide and some of the smilies even disappear off the right hand edge of the screen:

I use Firefox, but this also happens when I use IE.

It also happens on my old, non-widescreen lap top. In fact, even the PM page is screwed on that PC.

Is there anything I can do to fix it or is it a forum software problem?

I didn't know we had one.
    Just checked it out now.
Why would you use that instead of kwik reply?

I didn't realise there was any other way to post.

    CMN, it allows you to:

    check the layout,
check any pictures show up (unlike Stroller in the "funny pics thread" where his last three pics don't show),
to make a clever link like I just did to Strollers post, and
to read it to check for spelling mistakes and grammar.

None of which applies to you, of course.

DD, it's not the number if smilies, it's the size of the edit box. You are deliberately misleading everyone so they will say "NO, leave it" and you don't have to get your finger out and fix it. See, I'm getting to know you quite well.

Well it used to fit the old version of ie, and I really don't believe most people are foolish enough to buy legal windows so they are stuck with the old version that was okay and it is only ever so slightly big on firefox

OK, I found the problem - up to you if you want to "fix" it.

The "Message:" box when quoting is "540px" wide, but in PMs it's "380px". I just changed it to "380" for a quote, and it looks OK.

"Webmasters" - can't live with 'em, can't kill 'em.
