    Enjoying the snow in Colorado

Part of the adventure and experience of living in Colorado is enjoying the snow and all the fun that goes with the cold. So sit back, relax and let the snowflakes hit you in the face!

One of first stops was to try some skiing at Steamboat Springs, Colorado. A fairly expensive ski resort type of town where the millionaires hangout. The billionaires hang out in Aspen and Vail, Colorado.

Steamboat Springs is a fairly small town, but one can see people from all over the world that come to visit.

Since we didn't have any ski equipment the first stop was load up. So we went here. My credit care was ready.

If you look closely, you can see the photographer.

We got fitted out and met this gentleman. Can you guess where he went to school at?

Small world after all, this owner attended ISB in Bangkok for about 7 years. Right off the bat, he asked if my wife was from Thailand in Thai!

Anyway he was a good salesman.

Time to head to the bunny slopes. Since, I was the instructor it was best not for me to suit up and show off my skills.

And up the slope we go. Well, not we actually but you get the idea.

Now comes the easy or hard part depending upon your perspective of skiing down the hill.

    Looking good so far...

However, this is what happens when the student does not listen to the teacher.

If the snowflakes have been melting on your tongue, this might be one of the reasons. Even Mother Nature needs help from time to time.

Colorado does have some serious snow shovels.

Enough skiing for awhile, let's head up in further into the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

No, your eyes are not decieving you. This is not Malaysia. However, my footwear is bettered suited for Asia...

The snow starts to pickup just a hair. The locals call this a snow shower.

This is not the road nor the weather to allow a Thai person to drive. This ain't Bangkok. Trust me on this one.

Sometimes it is best not to stop and take photos.

After countless curves and hills, we finally made it.

It was cold. You might make fun of my hat but I don't care. Made out of sheep, it is the warmest hat I have ever worn. Cost me about $50 and is built to last.

As you can also see, I spare no expense with clothing for my daughter...

Hope you have enjoyed the snow as much as we have. Stick around and later I will show you some Colorado ice skating and a big Zamboni.

Great pics. Remind me of my childhood. First place I ever went skiing was Steamboat. Colorado's a beautiful place.

Now this you can call winter.

Not like the few hours or few days affairs we get.

    Much appreciated.

Now I miss the time when we lived in Austria. There is neither enough snow nor mountains in northern germany to go skiing.

This is my first time seeing this thread. Colorado is one place that I always wanted to live, but being Canadian, the governments make it extremely difficult for us.

You gear her up in white???!!! You should get at least a bit of colour in case she ends up rolling down a hill.

    Green on the way.

Colorado is great but IMO, BC and Alberta have got it beat if you are looking for natural beauty.

Snow gives the total excitement to our ladies.

When my wife arrived in Germany she experienced the worst immediatly. Temperature just +5°C, drizzling rain and gusty wind. She said she won't leave the house before summer.

One month later, a beautiful ice cold sunny sunday at -15°C. Snow, the river Havel frozen solid and frost on the trees. She was so excited that I literally had to use force to get her back inside. She would have frozen solid without noticing. She was absolutely enchanted by the exotic beauty of winter.
