The wedding was on a Saturday and the newly married couple took off Monday for Switzerland and Italy for their honeymoon. We took off for Arizona, and Sedona and the Grand Canyon.

    Lovely.

If the hubby's job ever goes south he can get a part in a Brooklyn coming of age movie.

How was the ride in the Urus? Did you get to stomp the gas?

I remember he had a Ferrari 488 and Lambo Gallardo last time.

So the first morning in Sedona we were up early to tour the Red Rocks, specifically Bell Rock, and Castle rock. We took off hiking just after 630am to get some photos in the early morning light.

As the day went on the colors became more vivid.

    Which way to go?

Trip Home For A Wedding and More-sedona-mountain-jpg

We stayed out of the hustle and bustle of Sedona in Oak Creek which is much more laid back. Nice road leading to Sedona.

Overlook of Sedona with the red peaks listed.

The next morning we left for the Grand Canyons South rim, something I have always wanted to see. In no way do photographs do justice to its size and sheer majesty.

Trip Home For A Wedding and More-gc-rim-jpg

    Interesting example of erosion

Trip Home For A Wedding and More-duck-rock-jpg

The Colorado River was well full and flowing through the canyon

Trip Home For A Wedding and More-colorado-river-jpg

Made it down a ways in the Canyon, but its not easy. You go down along switch backs as the canyon is so steep. Problem is going down is not easy, but coming back up hundreds of meters is not easy.
Trip Home For A Wedding and More-ooh-ah-jpg

So darn big, blows the mind.

Trip Home For A Wedding and More-map-canyon-jpg

Still smiling after walking 12 K, along the rim. An easier of a walk as it is 70% flat.
