Absolutely. While I did not let them cement over any pipes at our place, I have seen it before and then a jack hammer event to get to a leak. Also here in Thailand for whatever reason they never dig the trenches deep enough and pipes always surface which leaves them exposed to damage.

Hope they plan on a bit of clean up on the pipe mess there DW. I have seen spaghetti messes like that here and I just sort of laugh shaking my head.

Yeah....... well........you know Tax. Not gonna happen here.

On a side note, I found that many of the PVC leaks that happen here are not because they weren't glued properly, it's because the pipes used had been sitting on the shop shelves in the sun and they are now oval. So they slop glue on it and add the 90, coupler whatever and it never seals and leaks.I always closely inspect the pipe when I buy it.

DWs plumbing is the newer drawn plastic pipe with internal clamping ferrules and nuts. Those actually work very good for general garden plumbing.

indeed, in bongo bongo land or germany, it makes no difference, a customer showing a laissez faire attitude to their project and the spec. is likely to be seen as weak by the builders with predictable results as advantage is taken, corners are cut and sloppiness prevails, but a customer that takes an active interest in the specification and engages fully with the builders is far more likely to get a better job done.

so, feet up willy, and have another beer.

    Who said anything about interfering?

Its no wonder you are just a bottom rung employee, a taker of orders, with no responsibility, and not one of societies movers and shakers.

So you were a mover and shaker then, were you tax? CEO of your own dental clinic? Or did you give yourself an MD title? Or perhaps even President? Oooh, I’m in awe. That responsibility to have the dental clinic open by 09:00 each day busy have weighed heavily on your mind, eh?

Did you give many orders? To whom? The postman? The tea lady? The receptionist? Oooh, to be such an order giver. I feel all shivery thinking about it.

An update, the last couple of days they’ve been busy. The filter is done but needs testing. The tiling is all done, paving almost complete.

They’ve moved the sprinkler pipes from underneath and using backfill.

pavers looking good, and they’ll run the soil to the edge and gently slope away. We’ll get the gardeners/factotums to plant some grass runners.

Tile work looks good to me, but happy for any experts to tell me different.

Overall looking good. Tomorrow they’ll finish the pavers, and tidy up a few things. Next day the porcelain. Then we can fill it. Ready by the weekend…maybe.

See, this is something teachers never can and never will do.

Pass other people's work off as their own.

You've been a limpet on teachers, labourers, and so many people's backs your whole 'career'.

This is why you strike out at every opportunity on here.

I presume the cause of the massive vertical crack in the wall column, inline with the pool corner has been investigated.
