Finally got round to seeing Machi Picchu before it all went tits up last month, but also spent a few days in Lima beforehand. Lima was a very pleasant city and more geared up for tourists than other places in the region. Decent airbnb for about 35 quid a night.
Nice view from the balcony.
Rooftop with pool, sauna and bar.
Peru has a big Chinese population so it was nice to get some decent Asian food. This Chinese was the first of the trip, but by no means the last.
Then out and about enjoying the nightlife in the bohemian part of Barranco.
One of Peru's most famous drinks is the pisco sour and it was time to sample the first few of the trip.
Pisco, egg white, lime juice...and they pack a punch. Especially when it's 2 for 1!
Stumbled home later that night with plenty of people sat around in the parks eating, drinking and selling their wares.
