Eureka, California now, or rather camping just N of it after a glorious drive through the "Ave of the Giants" (Aka: Redwoods) and an icy cold dip in Eel river. Prolly crossing into Oregon manyana. Jeep is badass, can sack out almost anywhere. Life's good. Thanks for the comments.

PS: Saw a bobcat (or lynx) this AM on my run. Grey colour. Looked to be a fair-sized adult. Shy little bugger. Still dark enough to get the shining eye effect from the flashlight.

PSS: 2 monster elk chilling out watching their does feed. Those pix are coming.

On a side note, had been waking up with 100% anxiety for 8 months.
70% in Florida, 50% after health retreat in Ecuador, maybe 40% since traveling west coast.
Last night I went to a legal marijuana dispensary and took 3 small puffs then woke up with only 5%.

Thanks for asking. Partially. Compound was great, coworkers fine, students,...tiring but dealable. The boss,...made me #1 go-to without equal compensation, so that wore thin. The last 3 months (closing shop) got unbearable while all coworkers coasted out with ease. Bossy milked me for every last drop to the bitter end.

All started at a marina in San Diego

I rented a sail boat from a marina in San Diego. Had a great time up and down the bay. Sailed alongside an aircraft carrier's buoys/barrier and received a verbal warning from somebody aboard , over the tannoy, to stay away. Which we did with a wave. All went well until we came back. The outboard motor wouldn't start and with the wind falling could't make it back to the pier. Lots of suggestions from the crowd on the hill overlooking. We phoned the pier and they sent out a man in a boat, who towed us in. The hill applauded and my friend and I bowed in appreciation.

Bossy milked me for every last drop to the bitter end.

I'm sure the end of contract bonus was wisely spent.
