Well you owe me at least one dry cleaning bill....you foxy foxy minx you!
Just what is a 'podcast' supposed to be?
Is it not an audio blog?
I would think one should consider the end product first and judge whether people will want to listen to it before one proceeds with recording the podcast.
It's early days and I think there's promise in it BUT the music sux. IMHO.
I suppose I'll have to go and check LDMA's blogs again to see if they're more interesting.
A bit more thought Louis that's my advice.
I don't know about otters but I can't be arsed clicking a link to hear crap music and no controversy.
Congrats for taking the big step though, that's a brave move. Good luck.
Better than Capital fucking Radio though
Well to be honest KK that's not really the issue is it?Originally Posted by kenkannif

I don't know is it? Isn't it? I mean if they get paid to play shite and talk even more shite and Louis' is better.....well it's got to be saying summin' ain't it? Not as good as JJJ thoughOriginally Posted by poolcleaner

The music being shite is knd of the idea, and to be honest I'm not into the my blog being controversial. Listen or don't listen Poolie...I'm not that bothered.
I just make it up on the spot...maybe I'll get bettter at it...maybe I won't...I'm just messing about really...
New one's online BTW
Well for some reason ldma's blog works on my work pc which I'm not sure is a good thing or not!
LDMA - whats with the music? It's awful. When are you going to play some decent country? Do you want me to email some stuff over?
How do you do one of these things LDMA. Do you like just speak into your computer or something. Is it easy and free or is it a bit more complex than that?
Kind of fancy trying one out myself.
I'm actually enjoying them but again I'm very easily amused.
Well I really like it.Originally Posted by ldma

I'm bopping away!
Half Term report for Little Louis.
Louis has worked well over the last half term and is now beginning to put some very nice podcasts together. He seems to have sorted out his microphone technique and is ummin and erring a lot less.
One thing he does need to work on is including more dialogue, especially regarding the Thai forums, and being a little more choosy over his music playlist as Fraggle Rock and the Muppets get on my fucking tits!!!
Overall, a good start. If Louis continues to improve, he should soon become a very competent podcaster. Well Done!
Much more professional ldma, well done
Oh dear:
How much did that costHappening, underground trance-techno DJ LDMA has followed Riz's movements for some time.
Are you from Notts then Louis? What part?
I lived there for about 6 years in Lenton, Beeston and Hyson Green - yep, real classy places.

ops: ops: The Riz website was done by me ages ago...I'm rather embarrassed about that quote you Ken.

Memock, I would rather die than play you country music, and the point is to play shite obscure and varied music so that no-one is really catered for unless you also have bizarre music tastes like me (and apparently Ken).
I'll cut down the tunes from 4 to three again today and try and make the chat longer, but I need tunes in there somewhere as I can't talk non-stop for 20 minutes, and I think I start umming too much if it's too long....I also tend to ramble. This way if I start losing track I can just stick on a new tune and consider the next bit....I really don't have time to plan these properly.
CMN, I use a headphone mic set, setting my sound card to open mic and to record whatever sounds the computer makes. I also use Steinberg's Wavelab to record it all, as I can edit crap stuff out...you can use the podomatic or odeo built-in recorders if you want an easier option. So all I do is line up some tunes in Winamp, press record and get the levels right and off we go.
OOOOhhhh, ain't you the posh oneNickA I used to live in West Bridgford...
The new one is much better Louis.Originally Posted by ldma

That's a pity really, it would be nice to think you took it serious enough to want people to listen. I mean why bother making one if you don't want anyone clicking in to hear what you've created?
One is indeed posh
I like it Louis....I also liked your cool way of saying later when you signed off.....you Da Man!
You can just be LDM...Louis Da Man!
Rambling is good, I'm into natural shit rather than planned stuff !
Good on you mate!
The best artists don't do things for others, they do it for themselves and for the 'art'.

I assume that means that you don't want me to send any country music for you to play?
Ok memock...I'll relent...I'll see what I can do but I don't got much in my collection.
Poolie it's not a dig, but really I'm not doing this for popularity or anything, and while calling it art is pushing it, it is expressing myself in hopefully a unique way, and should people choose to listen to it then all good if they think it's shite then fair play.
I've had a blog for over a year now and I lost the urge to do that, so this is just another funky new web fad for me to mess with in whatever way seems natural to me.
I'll see what happens today...I think I'm getting more confident and the have a beer first approach seems to work...
Joline (sp?) is a good country song.
As is Rhinestone Cowboy and the Gambler is cool as well.
The Flying Burrito Brothers are a great band.
Johhny Cash, Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle are all GREAT!
