^ First I heard you say that about small biz. I partially agree. Biz big and small fire folks, depending on profits. Don't forget, all the workers at big biz pay BIG taxes, I know that personally. When I worked in-house at investment banks, high-paid analysts and salesmen were first to go in a downturn. If things still looked bad, other areas were cut. But, when we made money, everybody got a slice of the pie, and they were generous. Comparing what the CEO got to what I did was ludicrous. He/she faced more sh*t than I did. I still laugh at the secretaries we had in London. One was always angry coz we made way more than she did. WTF? You don't like this job, where you get ten times what others at your level of education & competence get, plus a bonus, and you're sour-faced everyday? Bladdy socialists.

It seems you ad I are in the same business, Jet, though I spent all of my working life in the US. Having said that, there is a complete disconnect between the income strategies in investment companies, everyone knows that and everyone in the industry agrees that it is ludicrous. But of course there is little we wish to do about it
