I assume that Chitown paid the Scampy bill ? Scampy is royalty, he doesn't need to pay bills

Not at all, and it's nice that the US and Japan are friends, I was just saying that personally, I would not feel 100% comfortable strolling around Japan as an American, it just seems a tad cheeky.
So as a Brit you'd be uncomfortable walking around a German supermarket?

    The Japanese did.

Are you seriously telling me that America takes credit for the re-building of Japan after WW2?

See, this is the problem with you Merkins... You spend all your time eating hamburgers, dumbing down your media and stealing ideas for weapons and thinking everything successful in life is down to you.

Have you read the story of the hair and the tortoise?

I suppose that Honda robot that can run, climb stairs and ride a bicycle was your idea too right.

"contained' within their own boarders" Now why didn't you voice this sentiment anytime before the two world wars?

Why not? The Japs walk around Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The Brits walk around the USA. The Germans walk around the UK/France/Poland and elsewhare.

He's obviously referring to the billions in aid and loans supplied to Japan after WW2 to ward off starvation. No one suggested that the US was responsible for the tremendous economic strides they made themselves. The US and western Europe provided a marketplace for cheaply produced Japanese goods which fueled their economic expansion.

Reminds me of a story going around several years ago when the first Japanese warship visited Pearl Harbor.

A few young Japanese sailors got lost on their way to visit the USS Arizona Monument. They stopped and asked a US Marine directions. The Marine simply replied, "It's a bit further down the road. Right where you left it".
