Time to get rehydrated
Great shots of the countryside Chittychangchang, a green owed for your efforts. I heard the news about the heatwave your way a few days ago on the car radio. The thing about a cool climate is you can allways put on another layer. As for the heat it takes a bit of getting used to. And if you live in the north that time is to short.
As for our garden, I logged off right after that post. I don't have anyone on ignore. She grows several types of beans and sugar snap peas. Also cucumber, several types of tomatoes and various pepers. Also several types of herbs and pleanty of welts from the mosquitoes. They're as big as walking street birds and just as hungry.

^Does all that fencing keep the deer and other critters from getting the goodies fish?
For the most part yes. Not allways, afew years ago I had to set up a trail cam to see what was eating my sprouts. Found it was a rabbit that could squeeze under the fence in a spot or two so put chicken wire right down to the ground. I figured if it hold in a chicken it can hold out a rabbit.
We use 4x8 sheets of concrete reinforcing wire and many fence posts as a lattice for the beans. A bit to set up every year but works like a charm as you can see by the hight of the plants.
We use a pole pounder to set the posts and zip ties to hang the reinforcing sheets. Been using the same sheets and poles for years. Works great.
I had problems in the past with deer jumping the fence and used sprays as a deterant. This year just been lucky I guess.
Cheers and happy gardening if you're into it.
Back cycling in CM yesterday.
For sure.
Very nice Chitty. Would be nice to see a dedicated thread of your bike travels, with a map screenshot or similar to go with the pics. Would be very interesting.
Equally nice, cheers Cyb.
Will be starting a dedicated CM living/traveling/photo thread in the next month or two as will be starting to spend about 1/3rd of my time up there. Maybe a bit more after seeing your pic.
Anyway, hopefully the road will be half flooded when I pass you on my motorbike.
