Costs around 30,000GBP to train a guide dog. Quite amazing really.

Wouldn't be very practical in Bangkok though, unless the dog was specifically trained for the terrain of Bangkok's pavements and sois, which is a bit of a tall order.

Used to work with a blind radio dj, he had no problems using his phone, his incoming texts were read to him by a voice, which is twice the normal speed. Too fast for me but he'd mastered it.
