Spent a long week-end at Taman Negara in Pahang - the national park in the state of Pahang . . . loads of pictures and just one doesn't do it justice.

Simply an amazing park, stayed at the Mutiara Taman Negara Resort . . . and finally saw a tapir after several vsits - no pics, though - fleeting at best, sadly

When walking in the rainforest itself it wasn't that hot because the sun is filtered by the canopy - the canopy-walk, however, did add the heat . . . the rest of our time we spent on/in or near the rivers - wonderfully cool waters, real waterfalls etc . . .Quote:

Our boat and driver - there's another guy in the front with a pole to guide and push through the shallows (no rain in a month - hence we have water rationing in KL as well)
This river is called the 'Black River', though it is the clearest water you can imagine - the name is derived from the black stones which give the water the impression of being black. There are several pools one can swim - simply wonderful.
