Cantona was in Saigon for about 6 months. We exchanged numbers as he was soon to leave, as I didn't know he was in Saigon, and he hung out about 4 minutes away. I don't check the other channel much.
He didn't like SGN. A lot of people don't. Being surrounded by assholes all the time who are greedy can wear one down.
But I perservere.
............
Have left Saigon (as Milkman said it totally wore me down), have been back in Bangkok since late April, off to Brisbane on Monday. Never met any of the VN posters, spent most of time in Saigon's District 7 (Phu My Hung)
In Bangkok was part of the crowd that spent their idle time in the Log Cabin on Thong Lor during the late 90's early 2000's when not digging tunnels for the MRTA, wandered around 33 a bit including watching some football (or soccer as my countrymen call it) in the Londoner.
^ Yes, Saigon can wear one down. I worked part-time in Phu My Hung. Nice, clean air, but also very quiet. I need a little noise and interaction.
Sounds like anywhere on the planetOriginally Posted by Milkman
I enjoy visiting HCM city however

I'm one of "those Americans", I think the only one who was in the group; think we more than likely were only together when a large group gathered. You would likely have the same fuzzy memory trying to place me.
I'd sent you a PM but my post count is too low, ask Thai Pom, after all he put me up to this. Guess I can expect a red for that.
Never heard of you!! I will send Marmite a PM, how was the first day in the Office in Brisbane?Originally Posted by kjameson
Well I can understand how you would feel like that, goes along with how my day started "At the Office". Seems the only folks who were expecting me were off to meetings all morning and had not let anyone know I was coming. The nice ladies in the office sent me off to enjoy a few cups of coffee and read the paper (wonder if I can expense the coffee and newspaper?). Guess I shouldn't complain still being paid to do what I do best, not much at all.
The custom folks were most impressed with the cleanliness of the golf shoes, did not even look at the clubs!
By the way Brisbane is a bit cold and rainy today, Sunshine State???
Met the Jizzybird last night and the Jizzycouple are a nice team. They left the Jizzyboy up country which is a shame but then again they seem to be on a second Jizzy honeymoon!

I didn't know you had gone to VN, so that might've been the bulk of the problem in placing you.
