The FT charge on your electricity bill, what is it this month?

Could somebody have a look at their residental electricty bill and tell me what the FT charge is these days please?

The PEA website is out of date at the moment

    Thanks

What's the FT charge? I used 267 units, then there's a line where 0.0000 appears outside the box and 636.64 appears inside it
Next line 0.9255 outside the box and 247.11 inside it
Then (I guess this is 'total') 883.75
Some surcharge of 7% 61.86 and then the grand total
    Any of that help?

I know my bill was about 1200 Baht this month, but I don't know why.

A fridge, 3 fans and a PC is all that's on it really.

dunno about the FT charge, they dont give you a bill here, you just pay the amount they say you used... take it on good faith like

    $50 this month.

The FT charge is like a "multiplier" that is used to calculate part of the bill. Its based on the price of oil and varies. The weblink to the electricity companies website (in the op) shows the ft value as 0.6285 baht per unit (out of date 2008). It looks like the FT value for you is 0.9255

They multiply the ft value by the number of units you use and add that to the total.

The way they calculate bills here is ridiculous.......

FT 0.9255 multiplied by your 267 units gives you the 247 baht you mentioned.
In your case the first 150 units of lecky cost 1.8047 baht each = 270
    The other 117 units (267-150) cost 2.77 baht each = 324
    324 + 270 = 594, then there is a 40.9 baht surcharge added which gives the 635

add 635 to the ft charge of 247 = 882, add on VAT at 7% (61 baht) gives a grand total of 943 baht.

they dont do straightforward here do they.

Thats quite a bit more than NR's, oil has shot up recently and we are getting shafted for that on our lecky bills as well as at the pump

Is that a very recent bill? and perhaps NR's is last months?

not on the lecky bill as far as I know, they rip off everyone equally.

I;ve had some issues with internet company lately.

normal unlimted price was about $50 a month.

then they upped it to $90

I told them to fuck off.

plenty of other companies offering MUCH cheaper deals eg $20 or $30 p/m one even includes your cable tv for that price.

but they dont do my area yet....

then they changed my plan to $20 p/m for 1 gig - without telling me.

2 months at $20 is ok.,

then the next 2 month I apparently used 3-4 gig.

so the bill was $140 p/m

I refused to pay, so cut off. the next day the same company rings me, can we interest you in a special deal we have, unlimited internet for $15 p/m.... !

    grrrrr.

but cannot connect to that deal until i pay them the $300 outstanding.....

FT 1534, Bill was near 7K...

The counter of the neiighboor blow the other day ! Big bang followed by a smoke cloud, no electricity in the full street, broken plastic parts and glass all around, box was black and open...

Took them around half an hour to come and connect the elctricity in the street, quite efficient !

The neighboor still has no new Meter, they just connected the wires with tape and 1 week later, not yet fixed a new KW/H meter...

I think i'll blow mine as well...

That's my current (no pun intended) bill. I'm just off to pay it later this morning. Could this charge be different in different provinces?

Not when you're getting the elecrticity direct from the supplier and billed by them. This is about the bill from them, not some made up one from the condo or landlord.

Prolly because we have a 3-phase meter which has a different tariff from 1-phase.

Is that value not also determind by usage? i.e between so many and so many units, you pay FT of VVVV. Use more than that and it goes up?

So what is your unit cost, all included?
I don't even know if I have a lower price on the first 150 units, it is not specified.
