I was out doing a bit of shopping yesterday when I happened to bump into my second ex wife. We parted on good terms about ten years ago and have occassionly seen here whilst shopping and we have had a chat. But now have not seen here for about 4 years and the change was startling.

I say bumped into her, it was more like bounced off. She has put on about 15 kilos in weight or more. She had a reasonable waist line when I was with her, but now looks like an overinflated balloon with bumps in all the wrong places. I must be very honest and say that I would not like to be seen with her the way that she is looking now. Overweight is just not the correct word to use. Tight fitting clothes which accentuated all the ripples of fat and it really made me cringe.

Maybe she is content in the way that she looks now or does not care about her appearance.

Has anyone else bumped into ex's and thought the same. My first thoughts were that I am glad that we parted when we did, as I would now not wish to be seen with her now.

never mind, I have similar feelings....

an ex and her sister came round for dinner last week; she has aged and gained weight. Her sister now looks younger and fitter, whereas it used to be the other way round

I just don't understand why some women just let themselves go and not worry about how they look to others.

I saw my ex wife a few months ago, and thought, yep your still looking good. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

I saw my ex-wife at our daughters wedding last December and to be fair she looked the best I have seen her in 20 years. Lost a lot of weight and seems to have got that chip off her shoulder as well.

I also met her new man and really am so happy that she is happy.

Relections on our past relationship?

Best to leave that past behind and look forward to our grand children.

Nothing wrong with being shallow if it gets you out of having sex with old over weight women, still don't understand redrums fascination for them though

About 3 years ago I was at a petrol station in the UK when and ex g/f from my yoof (me 18 she was 16) walked in, I was floored, literally. She must have been over 15 stone (5ft 9 to boot, 30 yrs old), I was quite proud when we were together as she was quite attractive, slim, nice hair etc a result for a scruffy skatepunk like me but boy had she let herself go.
Just happens to some of them I guess.

That does sound very shallow. Maybe she is thinking the same thing when she sees you. You do know that our metabolism slows down as we get older. Some people have their reasons for gaining weight, and has it ever occurred to you that she is happy that way (maybe she has a new husband who is a great cook).

As for me, If I see some exes, and listen to them for awhile, I think, he's still a conceited asshole. Some things never change.

Most relationships as they mature become less dependent on physical appearance to tie them together. Those that do are prone break up as a younger prettier model comes along.

^Uh, duh, I know that.. I was just making a point to OldGit. Yes, people age, and people physically change. Not everyone is as active as they were when they were young, which is a shame.

Possible I guess but I would estimate a 75-80% chance that she would prefer to be slimmer and is just one of life's either lazy or unfortunate fat bastards

With my trusty beer goggles to guide me I have porked my share and I can vouch for the fact that fat birds will do pretty much anything in bed so they are not a complete waste of space

My point was about the difference in her physical appearance since I last saw her. You don't know me but my weight has remained steady in the last 10 years and I still take a pride in my appearance

She laughed and told me to stop being so silly.

She teased me saying that tubby, gray haired, older men were cute, and she was sure I would still be a great lover.

Anyway, she giggled and said, "I've put on a few pounds myself!"

So I told her to fuck off.

^ hehe. Yep, I remember seeing my teenage sweetheart (a Wishart no less) and he had gone completely bald -- he used to have beautiful thick glossy hair. Still a cutie tho. Another beau, a pro ball player when we dated, is now sadly a parapalegic -- car accident.

But, he coaches high school ball and has lovely children. My first ex -- same as ever, just older and richer.

obese and in his 60s without much care for his appearence his only hope of getting laid is on his trips to Thailand, we used to have another fabian on the forum who was the complete opposite to that though, wonder what happened to him....

I remember taking a trip to Cornwall, Padstow, when I was 18

I met a fit bird on the seafront and we had fun times in the back of my mini for a few days. I still have a pic of her in my old pic box, cute

I returned several years later and saw the same girl pushing a pushchair, very fat and out of date

didn't even bother to say hello, esp as I was with another woman

so I am shallow too

Ex-wives!

Mine was a size 8 when i married her 15 years ago!

She's now atleast a size 16 and in Majorca lying on a beach as we speak.

The Japanese whaling fleet are now en-route with harpoons at the ready.

Bless her, i got the best years out of the bitch!
