Grant residency to a family who have some tenuous connection through having claimed diplomatic immunity, or, "we dropped a sprog here so all 27 of us can live here", or, I got in on a truck, I'm here, so pay me............. or...

...... I'm Polish give me a house, job, money, and your daughter.

Or a relatively small number of people who, whether for money or not, committed themselves to serving the UK, king/Queen and country with out question for years.

Which ones would you support?

Neither are the Commonwealth soldiers who sign up for 4 years and automatically get the rights that the Gurkhas and the lovely Joanna have had to fight for.

Afraid so - the Brits were the Welsh Guards and the Argyles and every night was fight night!!
The Ghurkas on the other hand, joined in with the school sports days , Scouts( Ghurkas had a waiting list for their weekend hikes in the mountains) they even got me to help them build a "Flying Machine" for the Akrotiri Bird Man Contest off the end of the jetty on the Queens Birthday holiday !!!
Also if they heard that any ex pat was having a big BBQ a squad would turn up with a sack of charcoal and a bloody live sheep and run the show for you !
