After reading the Che Guevara thread in Issues some time back and agreeing with the point that, although you see Che's image in many places here, esp t-shirts, many Thais would have no idea who he was, let alone the history, I've noticed a few more 'strange' t-shirts. Saw a lad of about 14 wearing a Lenin t-shirt the other day; just waiting for the Stalin ones and today, I saw the strangest one yet. It was a peach coloured fitted t-shirt for a woman. It had red and black swastikas all over it and the word 'Nazi' emblazoned across it.
These (and the 'fuck me' or 'fuck you' t-shirts we see a lot of in HH, even on very young children) amaze me. I realise (or hope!) that in most cases the wearers have no idea what they're wearing, but what about the designers? Surely someone putting the nazi emblem all over a woman's top knows what they're doing? Is it just a laugh for them? I really can't get my head round it.
